Jennifer:

My boy got his art work flashed on the visualisor today as a sample of wrongly done assignment. He came back with the right version 1/2 done in sch.

My boy also folds the paper into 1/2. I find the art folio a clumsy bag.

I seriously think you should bring this matter to the school authority. Even under Singapore judicial system, we do not shame the 1st time offender in littering. What more about an assignment. Considering the majority in the class did not get it right last Mon shows that his teaching methodology is questionable. He is very fortunate that my dd is not in his class. I'll :torchme: him. :x

I sent in the letter when I went to pick up my boy this afternoon. Was only told of his masterpiece being used as a sample when I asked him over lunch whether his work is accepted.

If the instructor used my boy's work as a mere sample to show the other pupils that this was not what he wants to do done, I am ok as he is talking abt the subject matter, not any personal attacks. That's why I asked the HOD whether the classroom Mr Chin used has a CCTV installed. We can then know what exactly went on during his lessons. Whether he has resorted to unnecessary scolding or passed demeaning remarks.

My boy has completed the one he brou home today. Didn't your boy bring home?

ds not feeling well these few days, ask him to take MC but was rejected by him. Thanks Jennifer and Mum113. Will remind him. Just follow what IJJ's dd said, right?

According to my boy, Mr. Chin also flashed some correct masterpieces completed by some pupils.
Mmmmmmmm ....
If We look from another View Point ....

May Be He's Trying to Show by example what's Right and What is Not, and Not specifically picking on any students' work?

Parents, Notice from your posts that there are a number of students Doing Similar Mistakes in their Master pieces ....

But May Be this Mr Chin could put in a disclaimer B4 flashing the Incorrectly Done Art Work, like saying many of the students did not do it correctly and submit Art work similar to this ....
Then it will Not Be = \"Public Shaming\"?

Always heard that P3 to P4 is a jump, P4 to P5 is a bigger jump. In P5, almost a PSLE standerd. What does these mean? Jump as in the suject or exam difficulties or the marking standerd.

I find Pri 2 to Pri 3 already a very big jump and DD has a hard time coping with all the homework.

Thanks Funx3. Now already feel the difficult of those questions, especially for the kids. Some time, it is very difficult to explain to them. P5 even worse? :!:

Actually the jump is from p2 to p3 followed by p4 to p5.
The jump refers to the level of difficulties and subject depth. Son at p5 this year has difficulties with maths, science and languages. Answers are expected to be detailed especially for science.

My boy told me he scolds at least 7 to 8 pupils each week.

Somehow the evil in me wants to write a unkind complaint letter to the sch HOD.

hi Jennifer, I askedy dd just now. She says Mr Chin is fierce in a funny, at first quite scary, but now she finds him ok.
Btw Jennifer, I heard alot of parents saying fr P4 to P5 is a huge jump. Why is that so? How badly wld one do in their p5 CA1?

Errrrr ....
10 Marks or More Drop in Marks?
But Almost EveryOne Suffers the Same Fate ....
So Overall Class Position Remains Almost the Same ....
πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰
tks! Ha u made my day. Ok, I wil encourage her that as long as position is stil d same most likely she is stil consistent. πŸ™‚
