Agree with you...school syllabus has been brought forward. I don't remember learning simultaneous equations at P5...nor calculate the number of legs 4 ducks and 8 cows have at P1 !!! Hubby just told last night about the P1 Maths taught to daughter in school when he signed the worksheets.
The other day my son was telling me they just learnt \"cross multiply\" in MA. I was like \"so early?\" becos I vividly remember I learnt it only in sec 1.janet_lee88:

I got the book 'Challenging Maths Problems Made Easy' yesterday and to my horror :!: it doesn't look like English to me...more like Greek..feeling really stupid. I just don't understand why primary school is this tough now.

After CA1, Normally EveryOne Sit Up and Pay More Attention, esp the Parents ....

I hope my son doesn't fail his CA1 bcos neighbour told me her son's class flunked and the teacher wasn't very tactful about it when parents asked how it happened.
Pei Hwa is known to set tough Maths and Science papers. -
