Can I say your son is mature for your age ? I dare not say that for my son...still waiting for him to wake up.
Like HOD said out loud and clear during last sat's session and parents blurted into laughter :' esp for boys....some flowers bloom / blossom later.....'
DH was like why pick boys and not girls.
Well, I'm also hopeful ds will kai qiao sooner and my worries can be shifted to else where :P

Those who matured earlier do not necessarily become more hardworking
My elder boy is one such example. The girls in his class will do every MA qns in Fabian Ng's PSP, but he will only complete those assigned by the MA teacher. When he became stumped by a particular qn, he will casually dismiss it as he just cant remember for that moment the how to, BUT he knows how to solve, the method is just at the back of his mind  That's why I said I must manage my expectation. No point stressing each other over the mentality of must get full marks. This makes all parties happy and being happy is impt to a child who spends almost 1/2 of his day in sch.

The 4-in-1 you are referring to is Dawn Tai's Challenging 4-in-1 Maths, published by EPH.
Yes .. I find it a good topical assessment and some challenging questions. Definitely tougher than Andrew's Er. But the really good challenging questions are mainly found in past top school papers. -

last week, my p3 dd asked me to teach her algebra, i was doubt, why she thought about this. she told the teacher raised a math problem by using the way of guess and check, but many students (more than ten children?) settled it in algebra, finally, the teacher asked them to change...janet_lee88:
Yes, after results have been released for CA1, ALL will sit up and panic to see how marks can be improved...there will be a mad scramble for assessment books/tutors before March holidays.
Popular will be smiling again .. MORE Business
it shows many p have sitten up earlier. at least algebra is one good way to check the answers. -

Not sure whether this is going to make it worse or better after reading all your posts on the stress for the upcoming exams.
There is only less than a week left to CA1 so plan quality revision. Find out the weak areas of your kids and work on those. Got to be flexible and θ§ζΊθ‘δΊ...
My dd will be sitting for two piano exams on top of her CA1 next week. We are holding up well and I am thankful for her on-the-ball and positive attitude. She is stronger than I thought. I am busy planning quality revision as we go along. After that, we shall reap the fruits of our labour...hopefully...
All the best, everyone! :celebrate: :celebrate: -

With CA1 approaching .. all parents should \"stock up\" the power food mentioned in the last few post .. I summarise ...Yeah, My Gal is complaining of being Tired, and suffers from Sorethroat and Coughing since end of last week. She Lost Her Voice for the past couple of days ....
Have told her to Sleep Early, and just DO BARE Minimum for HW - Can Pass Up, No Scolding from T Enough -liao ....
Mum1113, Trapwithin - Typical Example of L-F members behavior ....

Dark Chocolate
Essence of Chicken
Pao Shen
