When time permits on weekdays, I tell hubby we go out for dinner to relax also rather than being stuck at home doing same old thing.

Last year I was stuck at home most of the time becos of my younger boy. I think I almost went bonkers as I was easily upset at the slightest issue. It was not a very pleasant year.

Not sure whether this is going to make it worse or better after reading all your posts on the stress for the upcoming exams.

There is only less than a week left to CA1 so plan quality revision. Find out the weak areas of your kids and work on those. Got to be flexible and 见机行事...

My dd will be sitting for two piano exams on top of her CA1 next week. We are holding up well and I am thankful for her on-the-ball and positive attitude. She is stronger than I thought. I am busy planning quality revision as we go along. After that, we shall reap the fruits of our labour...hopefully...

All the best, everyone! :celebrate: :celebrate:
        Good point! :celebrate:

The 4-in-1 you are referring to is Dawn Tai's Challenging 4-in-1 Maths, published by EPH.
I let ds tried this too. We both tried until we wanted to vomit blood. DS could only do less than half of it, much less than that in fact. Sometimes I feel those qns are difficult just for the sake of being difficult.

We gave up in the end. The frustration and damage to our father-son relationship just ain't worth it. 😢
Anyone knows when we have to hand back the School Donation Card? I did not see any deadline.

The sch letter states collection in May.

If i read correctly, i think it said collection amount will be made known in May; so i thought submission will be much earlier than that?
My mistake  Yes, collection sometime in May. So up to the teachers to say when they want to collect? Will check with my kaypoh P4 later 😉

Which level did you buy leh?

I gave up buying challenging ones quite a few years ago. Before moving out of my in-laws place, I had all the time to coach my elder boy. Drilled him with Andrew Er's during his lower pri years, also cant guarantee full marks in his MA papers. Decided in the end, not worth the sweat.

My younger boy is a bit slower in grasping new MA concept (or maybe he is wired differently and I do not understand his way of understanding), so I did not bother doing challenging MA with him at all. Think I will vomit more blood. Incidentally, I used to be sb with low blood pressure. Now my blood pressure is normal

Think I am buying less from Popular too 😉

                What is L-F ?

                😉 😉 I googled \" L-F Club & Kiasuparents\" and \"L-F members & Kiasuparents\" ..... L-F .. whatever it stands for .. means very very relax parent .. not presuure by the school system .. right? :?

                I still don't get it.
I am guessing and trying to figure out what is L-F myself 😉
Waiting for Mark, Funx3 and E3 to reveal the secret 😉

Different book then. I like a EPH Maths ass book which has \"4-in-1\" in the title.

Oh man, aren't we taking short cuts a bit too much here  .

:rotflmao: You need to be pure in heart .. Bro Mark. You see .. your heart is \"tainted\" that why decipher wrongly ... 😉

If too tough, need to pull back and try again in few months time. It is only Feb. You can also try the Andrew Er book first.

Hubby told me quietly not to buy it anymore as son is unmotivated as questions are too tough. So, no more Challenging Problems. I get Simon Eio's 'Score in Maths' for SA2 and 'Step by Step' for SA1 as revision. Certain days, he will do Li Fanglan's heuristic & models.
