Browsed through some ad just now and was surprised that many maids were self-advertising themselves for transfer! I doubt their employers know about this. :!:

Where did you read this? Must go check it out.

you wil find plenty on the notice board at all supermarkets even in condo as well. used to live in maplewoods, pretty common to see them (almost a different one per week).

It seems part time maid will cost more than a full time maid.

actually i think there are people out there who are able to do part time work but just didnt know where to look for jobs. many think need to go through a cleaning company.

some didnt even look at notice boards in supermarkets because notices are usually in english or mandarin and some of them cant read.

i dont need someone to clean my house but definitely need some help in cooking dinner because of my kids’ schedule.

and i also have no idea where to look for them.

Just read from a newspaper report that part time maid agencies are charging more now because more people are ditching FT maids for PT ones, probably due to the recent increase in maid salary.

Looks like a vicious cycle that has no end…either way, the employer always ends up paying more.

Mine is paid by the hour - $10/hr, does general cleaning and ironing, usually take approx 3-4 hours. I am lazy to do spring cleaning so whenever near Chinese New Year period I will also pay her extra to clean windows, cupboards, change curtains etc. Works perfectly well for me. No need to handle full-time maid/helper problem.

Hi...there u have the contact for the helper
I like to hire them..tks sms me at 91081524(taufik)

Part time maid is charging $10-$15 per hour regardless if it’s daily, weekly, fortnightly. Unless you can negotiate with the aunty.

I know of an aunty staying in Woodlands who can do housework, ironing and cooking. If interested, please PM me. Her rate is $12 per hour.

I have to share my encounter with this agency, A-Team Amahs and Cleaners.

I got a part-time maid from them, the first one they sent to me never turn up after first session, i called and ask for another maid, which they took a week to respond.

The second maid came and last only for two session, the same thing happened, no show after that.

I am really upset and doubt the realibility of the maid and the agency A-Team Amahs and Cleaners, i wanted a refund of the agency fee i paid, of S$200 over, was told strictly no refund by a staff name "JULIE", she sounded rude and unprofessional.

I have no option, i guess maybe i need to make a report to CASE.

The agency took the fee and was not able to deliver as promised, everything sound so perfect when i first made contact with them.

Never felt so cheated before !!!
