Today I took my son bag to weight and guess how heavy is the bag? It’s near to 10kg! I though with the help of the Mac book, the boys can enjoy lighter school bag but instead, he needs to bring Mac book + a few of the thick text book which make the bag super heavy. When ask if the books are indeed needed, he says all needed… :x

I am so with you on this.....I dont see why the boys cant leave their textbooks in school or home since they study via their Mac.

I am so with you on this.....I dont see why the boys cant leave their textbooks in school or home since they study via their Mac.

Exactly! I told my son I am going to write to his form teacher but he wants me to wait until locker is being issue to them. I guess he is afraid he might get scolding if I send out the email. I really don't understand what is the time table for if it is not strictly followed?

Did your DS complain about their Eng teacher who marks their worksheets by favouritism? My DS told me that the Eng teacher fails almost everyone for the recent class compo writing. As this is their first time writing Expository Writing, I think she should teach them how to write before the writing but she did not! I looked at my DS previous Comprehension HW and noticed also that she only accepted "Her" answers and straight wrong for any other possible answers. She taught them to give short answers for compreshension which is totally different from what the Sec 1 Eng teacher taught them last year, so who to listen to? My Ds likes English very much and now because of this teacher, he said he dislikes all the English lessons. From the start of the school term, he either got fail for the HW given by her or just pass the paper. He is really very upset!

I'm also very concerned about this teacher. This class seems to be plagued with teacher problems! DS said this Eng teacher, Mrs Jaya, is worse than the MT teacher!! I already wrote to Mrs Jaya requesting to meet with her. If there's a problem with my son, I want to hear it right from her mouth. I'm so so angry too. DS has always loved Eng and Lit, even got an A last year. His CT compo grade is not only unspeakable but his humour and creativity in his writing were put down with her nasty comments and penalized. My DS was upset when he described his paper to me. I'm waiting to see the compo myself.

My DS shares your DS's feelings, he started to dislike his 2 most favourite subjects. I feel so angry that there's such a teacher who kills the joy of learning!! DS mentioned that she often doesn't conduct her classes. Asked them to do a simple worksheet with the 2 periods of 1hr10min when it can be easily completed in 10 minutes or brought home as homework. What a complete waste of time! She seems to dislike this class a lot too as she spends more time scolding the boys.

I definitely must meet with her as this is streaming year. Can't let her jeopardize DS's overall results. :x :x

I toally agree with you. DS said she taught them Verb Form (Past Tense) which was taught in Primary School! She should be teaching them things that the boys should be learning in Secondary level, don't you agree it's a waste of time? Nasty and rude comments were also appeared on my DS's work. Encouraging words would be better to the boys even if they are not doing well in the work so as not to make them dislike the subject and as you said jeopardize their overall results, am I right? I think it's a good idea to meet her and clarify these problems, I totally support you.
