By the way, Maid, is the plant very dirty and full of soil? Then when we boil the whole thing, won't it be difficult to eat the peanuts? Still got to remove the shell?

Alamak, nobody eats the peanuts from this plant lah! Just wash the plant clean and cook soup with it. Drink the soup, minus the peanuts! πŸ˜‰

Good question and good answer πŸ˜„

Unfortunately, I am sure it is the PEANUT that the kids are looking forward to! Hahaha... It sure looks like a big bunch to cook though ...

By the way, just wondering, if Peanut Plant will be the next thing to fly off shelves, ermm... stalls, I mean...

          :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

Thanks for the picture. It certainly clear alot of our doubts πŸ™‚ Seems like I do need to go Chinatown to get it.

Co-incidentally, I just heard from my relatives in Malacca during CNY that are in-sync with all those that everyone said - ie drink peanut-root soup (boil with pork rib) twice, follow by Tian-Qi once.

It should be taken during the beginning of the growth stage - but that's the hardest thing to gauge right .. if my son is going thru his growth-stage, then he is going to shoot up anyway, why bother to take herb :?

It is preciously becoz we don't WHEN will he grow taller, or if he WILL ever grow taller or not that worries us .. hence we KS now, hahaha...

Also, from my kids' swimming instructor, who is easily 190cm tall, and muscular .. he said it is not any specific sports, but the STRETCHING that helps to grow, becoz it lengths the arms and legs. So, naturally, sports which require a lot of stretching eg basket/net ball, ballet etc, help tremendously. Ironically swimming is not helpful, technically, hahahaha..

I think what he said makes alot of sense actually ...

JRLam, the picture was compliments from 25hourmaid... πŸ˜‰ Hmm, so Peanut Soup and Tian Qi are key to attaining model heights.

Stretching helps? So, maybe Kids' Yoga may help? Since yoga involves lots of stretching? But I heard from my Yoga instructor that there are certain poses kids cannot attempt, otherwise it may distort their growth.

A friend mentioned to me that once Girls have their menses, they don't grow in height anymore. Is it true? What about boys huh? when do they stop growing?

the nurse who came to my gal's school recently (rountine checking) said that too,
which makes me worry of her height.

                Pen88n:

Try η”°δΈƒ powder. It is supposed to ζ΄»θ‘€. A lot of my friends giving their boys that and my DS also started taking this recently.

It can be in pill form (from Eu Yan Sang) - there are 2 types: one pure η”°δΈƒonly (about $10 for a bottle of 30 pills), the other η”°δΈƒ plus american ginseng (about $60+ for a bottle of 30 pills). η”°δΈƒ is supposed to be heaty and the american ginseng will help cool the body so it will not be too heaty.

You can also buy η”°δΈƒ from medical hall and boil with chicken for the soup. For growing, it is better for daily consumption so pill may be more convenient.

For girls, take note that near / during / slightly after menses should stop consumption of this herb as it is ζ΄»θ‘€ so not suitable for consumption during that period of the month.

Hi, have heard of thisη”°δΈƒ. Do you feel it is effective for your boy? How does it help? Is it to grow tall only or anything else?

Just started about 3 days back, 😐 doubt it will be that fast to see results! If results is that fast, I'll be worried too  . Told DS he has to try that in case miss growth spurt and remain a \"shortie\" for the rest of his life. So far, he kuai kuai drink it as I think he wants to be tall too πŸ˜‰

Someone once told me that those who learn ballet practise their core muscles a lot, hence they tend to be ermm... less endowed... So DH doesn't want to let DD learn ballet.  But I certainly do love the poise and elegance exhibited in ballerinas.
