I like that they have many works translated from Japanese author. If my kids are able to read at their corresponding level, then I know they will have an easier time with their Chinese homework

I think it takes times due to our environment and China is totally different. At least now I can see some improvement over dd 造叄 and I am looking forward to see a better compo.

        Hi

Has anyone redeem their credit points on DD before? Is there anything to take note? Thanks
I redeemed vouchers before. Note that these vouchers expire - within I think a few months and there may be minimum limit. I recall faintly that I would have to spend another $100 before they will let me redeem the vouchers. This was not clear to me immediately when I redeemed. Also vouchers cannot be combined.

Hi all, is there a limit how much we can order each time for the transaction to be successful?

I've tried charging Rmb 556 and it was unsuccessful.
btw, I've just charged slightly more than 1k rmb to my dbs amex. it was successful; also I didn't need to do the audit check - orders are now being shipped from another warehouse. šŸ™ it all goes through smoothly.

Thanks, mine expire in end Mar. Now there are a few books in my wishlist which have decreased in price. So will check the terms and conditions

Wow! 1k RMB is a lot of books! What do you mean by another warehouse? International not all ship from Beijing?

I had been ordering from dangdang over the past few months, somehow I still manage to see new stuff that I want to get. It seems a lot, but trust me, the numbers just accumulate very fast. I actually trim the order already (ie those more difficult books I dun get first).

anyway, I'm going on holiday to china this march hols; that's went crazy on the ordering bit. DH knows dd is cheapest for books and he didn't quite object (at least not verbally). Though I'm half wondering how heavy the books will be in the end.

btw, I got the new 'ka mei la' deluxe version. this is in hardcover and the words are bigger, and it comes with a mp3 of the stories. It's more expensive than the normal set (I bought at 140RMB when there was an offer) but I think it's worth it becos this series is just so good.

                    hquek,

I went crazy buying books from dangdang when I was in China last year. In the end, my books weighed about 25 kg. My baggage allowance was only 20kg, so I had to ship back the books by China post. The cost of shipping was RMB 350 !

Thanks for sharing about the ka mei la deluxe version. Yes it is a wonderful series and every child must read these books.

i had the same problem, but i din buy 25kg of books, the luggage exceeded 20kg, and i was asked to take out the books at the counter. luckily i kept a few paper/plastic bags and end up lugging them in hand...
