Just curious, how old are your RE-MI ?

Janet, No2 will be 5 in March and youngest 2+ (year end baby). So you see, when you have a 2+ as the youngest (definitely going to be the last kid), you will just want to pamper her everyday...hehe...she melts my heart and keeps my balance to a certain extent...My anxiety will disappear into thin air whenever I look at her....

Oh, 2+ for a girl is simply adorable. I remember my gal at that age...so cute and definitely melts my heart then...esp now when when she knows what I'm thinking.

MP Sin Boon Ann plea in Budget 2011 debate:

FOR some children in Tampines Central constituency, the best hope in educational achievement is to do well enough to get into a polytechnic.

But for a child studying in a top school in Bukit Timah, this very outcome would probably be seen more as a failure than a success.
But Don't the TOP Sch Students Congregates from ALL Constituencies in SPore?
If I Remember Correct-ly, TOP PSLE Students Need Not Even Come from GEP Schools, But Could Be From Neighbourhood Sch, As Well ....

Am Sure Majority of Top School Students can Progress into A-level and Beyond .... But These Students Does Not Necessarily Stay in Bukit Timah Belt, Right?

May Be Need the Top Sch to Publish Breakdown of Students according to Constituencies to Support his Claim .... :?

                    :?

Some parents with kids who do well may not necessarily put their kids in top secondary schools for fear of their kids unable to compete with others. That I agree bcos I don't think I want my son in top sec school if he get high COP.

Wa piang :!: . He say liddat later parents of kids studying in popular BT schs suddenly all become very stress oredi. Who says studying in poly is considered a failure? I've ample colleagues and ex-colleagues who studied in poly then went on to further their studies in NTU/NUS with degrees/masters, one even ended with a Phd. All of them are making a decent and comfortable living.

Anyway of the 3 prominent local success stories I know of, Sim Wong Hoo & Olivia Lum studied in poly before right? Not sure about Peter Lim though but I got a feeling he didn't do a degree too.

Having said that, for me a diploma is the minimum qualification for most people to survive in the new economy. Otherwise it'll be difficult to support a family unless one has extraordinary non-academic skills set.
