So, safe bet is > 95 < 100? Ok, happy liao...thanks!   Very stressed to have lizhi's girl in the same class! Dd got to \"maintain\" her standard... πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰ Just kidding lah...our kids had tried and will continue to try their best, ya? :celebrate:

Yup agree. Luckily nobody else is in the same class as both your dds, otherwise it'll be very stressful for the remaining mum .....

but good to have healthy competition against each other and still maintain the good friendship...[/quote]Good to hope for, but generally do not happen.
Fortunately in PH .. such competition are usually among good friendship.

IJJ, he is in Loyalty 1.

For Chinese paper I, highest in class is 28/44. I believe the Maths paper is tough, but my son is weak to begin with.
I thot all the xxxx1 are students with stronger Maths? No?

Well, look forward ok. When you get the papers, go through and see why is he losing marks? Because of carelessness, non-routine questions or because he is unable to grasp some concepts. Pin-point at the root causes. Strive to work closely with him. Help him to identify and help him to look for ways to solve the causes. One thing about Maths, understanding concepts is very important, after understanding, must practise and practise. There are some maths topics mine was weak in, she targets in and practises repeatedly.

As you work with him to find out ways to improve, take care of both yours and his psychological well being, ok.

markfch, you see, must have faith in your ds ma....

I do have faith. It's just that I've seen the best out there ...... in my own backyard. In this world, I realised that there're just some people who are borned so gifted that your average joe could never hope to compete with them.
I'm pragmatic. It's ok to be second best. Second best still can cut out a good living to support the family :celebrate: .

I seriously think that in our society there are rooms for the 3rd, 4th,etc best to have a good living.
Just that if you want to be \"Man in White\" then have to be the very very best πŸ˜‰

              Hi Parents,

So envious to see your kids score 90+. My son told me he flunk his Maths Paper 1 😒 ...still don't know what his Chinese and Science results are but doubt they will be good. English Band 3...don't know how to improve his results.
              Keeping trying, never give up.

Girls are usually stronger in languages.

Dun be too upset. Do you know how the entire level fares? Maybe it is a set of tough papers? Like the P4 EL papers, my girl told me that 9 of her classmates scored 60+, dropped from 90+ or at least 80+ last year (my assumption), could be very tough.

CA1 is only 10%, there are lots can be done. I am sure he would not be alone. Is he in Loyalty 1?

Don't be too sad ok. Cool down and look forward.

Besides P5 CA1 is usually the killer test. To send a strong signal to parents .... \"PSLE starts in P5 .. NOW and not in P6\" πŸ˜‰

:? It does not apply to mine. Her favourite subjects used to be Maths for P1&2, then come P3, Science. EL still ok, but CL... 😐
