Hope you are not going to be like me- wait till today still hv not seen any significant slowing down in my boy.
My boy practices 'skip' reading.. he assumes he knows what the passage is abt :xmarkfch:
wow u are a perfectionist.
In a way I so understand what Jen is saying. My son is exactly like that too.
Otherwise he'll be able to do so much better.
hard that he will learn to do better soon. I am rather particular abt his attitude towards work, I m hoping he will learn to take ownership of his own studies, and be independent before he hits puberty.. worried that crossing to puberty stage, he will no longer heed my words anymore..

Does anyone here know who 'Mr Ling' is? Son had him for some lessons I think, when the FT was not around.. DS is quite terrified of him, will 'hope-i don't-see-him-today' every morning.. was wondering if he teaches certain subjects so I can help allay his fears.. apparently this teacher shouts alot, n ds sits right at the front row.. makes him jump everytime..

Checked with ds. DS rated him 4 out of 6 (under very good category, 5 will be excellent, 6 will be perfect). Apparently T covers maths lessons when the FT is unavailable. He said he enjoyed T's lessons. I asked him whether T is fierce? His reply, 'Of course when we're naughty T must shout at us.'
So T is ok as far as my ds is concerned. -

Yes, CA1 is INDEED a wake-up call...no play play. His English (paper 1 & 2) is like 68%. The other papers still not marked. Maths is 18/40 for Paper 1.
hi my dd also did v badly for Eng. Dunno the rest of d subjects except higher chin. She did ok for HCL. She is worried of her math result. Don't fret, we hv time to catch up. PSLE is stil 1.5years away! We continue to encourage n share tips n uphold one another, our kids sure can make it.janet_lee88:
My son told me he flunk his Maths Paper 1
...still don't know what his Chinese and Science results are but doubt they will be good. English Band 3...don't know how to improve his results.
PSLE starts at P5...in P6 which is the ACTUAL thing, there is not much time from what my friend told me. Her son is in P6 this year and she advised me to try and get my son to start remembering ε₯½θ―ε₯½ε₯ to help him with oral.
Think for EL comprehension, need to be be more intensive as well as comprehension cloze (this section is 15 marks). -

this yr's p3 cohort seems stronger than last yr's.
We can't be sure of the cohort's potential simply based on the EL highest score cos there are quite a number of band 2s in Respy 9, the lowest mark is 75. I have to look at the EL paper and see whether it was set at an easier standard compared to last year's. My dd didn't score as well for last year's paper, low 90s.Happy Mama:
