至于\"语言功力深的孩子\", 妳说小三的孩子, 九岁的孩子, 还未成熟, 他们的功力能有多深厚呢? 我女儿就败在那\"含糊不清的境地\"咯!

I have a different way of explaining why the above 1-sentence 造句is incomplete, or wrong -

It fails to explain what the word 努力 means in the context of this sentence. Imagine if you do not understand the word 努力, will you interpret it as 'diligent', 'put in more effort' or '讨厌' 学习? The 2nd part of the sentence helps to 'self-explain' the 1st part - ie to put in more effort - in order to achieve better results (can't be '讨厌' 学习 in order to achieve good results right?)

That's what I always tell my kids - the sentence that you construct with the required word, MUST explain the meaning of that word, which more often than not, will be explained in the 2nd part of the sentence. So technically, yes, we must write a 2-part sentence, ie MUST use comma

The problem with kids nowadays is - they lack of vocabulary to 'explain' the required word in the 2nd part of the sentence, that's why they stop short at the 1st, which is easier since you just need to make a sentence using the required word!

I thought for this type of qn that shows diagrams, our ans must be based on the diagram.

Diff: the cockroach completes its life cycle in a shorter time than the chicken life cycle
where in the diagram indicates the number of days???

my boy also got wrong for this q. My questions is have the kids been taught in class how long will it be for each cycle.

My ds is complexed in personality, he is more open w children his age, I'm still tryin to teach him to share his feelings w me in a constructive manner

Hmm, dunno if that works. My ds doesnt take e bus, but i see e buses speed by each day, it better to ensure safety of kids then to rush so that they can make more rounds.

It shld not matter whether the no. of days was taught in class. This type of qn shld be answered based on whatever info/details presented in the diagram.

I clearly remembered last year paper on comparing two animals (a mammal vs a bird), the qn clearly states no colour/size comparison. Must be what can be seen from the diagrams.

I wasn't being notti lah. Neither was I keeping everyone in suspense. My DD really couldn't confirm the highest marks in class.

Yes, you will see a big jump from P2 to P3, especially the teacher's expectations when it comes to answering Compre and ZaoJu. So you can start preparing your DS.

markfch, from P2 onwards, the last question of CL Comprehension OE is the killer shot....the students must be able to comprehend the passage and to answer the question using his own words. you can't find the answer in the passage itself....and that question worths 4 marks...lucky, my gg got 3.5 for this question...

Maybe it's because young children are less likely to be judgemental?
