Jennifer:
my boy also got wrong for this q. My questions is have the kids been taught in class how long will it be for each cycle.Study the diagrams below
Life cycle of a chicken adult ->egg ->chick ->adult
Life cycle of a cockroach adult ->egg ->nymph -> adult
Give one difference and one similarity between the life cycle of a chicken and a cockroach
I thought for this type of qn that shows diagrams, our ans must be based on the diagram.
Diff: the cockroach completes its life cycle in a shorter time than the chicken life cycle
where in the diagram indicates the number of days??? -
markfch:
My ds is complexed in personality, he is more open w children his age, I'm still tryin to teach him to share his feelings w me in a constructive manner
Hope this doesn't rub off my ds hor. :nailbite:Mrsbongz:
then his kindy teachers feedback that he has been tellin his classmates that Mommy no longer has time for him, and only loves him when he does his work..
that was quite sobering to hear..
I must subtlely coax ds to reveal what he thinks about me too.

Happy Mama:
I know what you're trying to do. You're a very notti mummy  .
Hehehe... Sorry I am also not able to confirm the highest, as DD is not sure if highest is 49 or 49.5 out of 50 marks

Btw after reading E3-lizhi conversation (yes I can read chinese, just a bit slow only hehe), and then Jen's sci qn, I now understand why you folks said that there is a quantum leap between P1/P2 to higher levels.
Thanks to KSP. At least now I know what to expect and won't get shock. -
San03:
Hmm, dunno if that works. My ds doesnt take e bus, but i see e buses speed by each day, it better to ensure safety of kids then to rush so that they can make more rounds.Mrsbongz:
Reading ksp while waitin for bus, n saw 2 PH sch bus speeding past w kids standing instead of sittin down, arent sch buses supposed to have seatbelts now? :?
Just understand from ds that his school bus has installed a tv n has cartoon for them. To make sure everyone is seated?? -
S6169:
It shld not matter whether the no. of days was taught in class. This type of qn shld be answered based on whatever info/details presented in the diagram.

I clearly remembered last year paper on comparing two animals (a mammal vs a bird), the qn clearly states no colour/size comparison. Must be what can be seen from the diagrams. -

I wasn't being notti lah. Neither was I keeping everyone in suspense. My DD really couldn't confirm the highest marks in class.
Yes, you will see a big jump from P2 to P3, especially the teacher's expectations when it comes to answering Compre and ZaoJu. So you can start preparing your DS.

markfch:
markfch, from P2 onwards, the last question of CL Comprehension OE is the killer shot....the students must be able to comprehend the passage and to answer the question using his own words. you can't find the answer in the passage itself....and that question worths 4 marks...lucky, my gg got 3.5 for this question...

Maybe it's because young children are less likely to be judgemental?
Can't wait to hear what Ts say about ds.
Yesterday ds rated sch life as 9/10, says his very happy there. -
Another qn 35a) In which setup will the guppy be the first to die? Explain your ans (2 marks).
My boy ans the first part correctly, but no marks becos his 2nd part ans was marked wrong.
His ans: There was no air for the guppy to breathe in setup B.
Correct ans: The fish in setup B has lesser air becos the oil blocks the air from coming in. -

Yes, the answer requires them to indicate that it is the oil that is preventing air from entering the water; hence here is a lack of dissolved oxygen. I kept reminding DD to answer this way, in case this question appears in her paper. But for such a long answer, only 1 mark. Not worth.
