Hi all,
I live in BT area and schools like NYP, PH, MGS are impossible to get in if I am not in the PV program nor stay within 1km… The other choice for me is Bukit Timah Primary School…however, seldom see ppl giving comment on this school… does anyone has any comment on this school?
Thanks. -

The environment/culture in IJ TP is not bad...teachers are responsible. When I pick my daughter after school and meet her form teacher, she does feedback to me areas which I need to look out for. -
was up the whole night reading through the threads and finally grasp these 2A2, 2C
my intital intention was Lakeside Primary since I was too late for PV for Nan Hua (being more than 2KM doesn't help either).
but recently, I found out Qifa is much nearer to my place but sadly still 2.7km away
. The drive is really quick (2 mins) with just a straight road though.
Was reading the balloting history and found that Qifa has balloting lol....
so here I am worried what if the ballot isn't my favor?
- Registered at 2A2 at Lakeside
- Can I still ballot at Qifa?
I read the forums and some people are doing this but I am still figuring how it works. -
Kissgurami:
If you or hubby are former students of Lakeside, then you can register your child under 2A2 at that school. Secure a place first.was up the whole night reading through the threads and finally grasp these 2A2, 2C

If you want to go for Qifa, then you have to give up your place in Lakeside...if you get balloted out at Qifa, you cannot go back to Lakeside. -
Thanks Janet_lee88
my ex and I have split late last year hence the whole rush in these schools. i used to be staying directly opp Mee toh
it is a risk to take then... if that's the case, we can gauge 2B at Qifa and then weigh the chances of ballot? -

Sorry to hear that. Hope you have moved on and your child is adjusting. Thanks Janet_lee88

Hi parents, I will be registering my twin sons for Pri 1 this year. Was wondering if anyone can help me with regards to the registration process…
We will most likely be registering my sons under phase 2C…was rejected for PV and too late for other priority registration options. Taking the following illustration as an example :
Twin 1 : Andy, School of Interest : School A
Twin 2 : Bob, School of Interest : School B
At phase 2C, we registered Andy in school A and Bob in school B.
At the end of phase 2C, Andy was successful but Bob was not.
Under this circumstances, will Bob then be automatically eligible to enroll into school A since his sibling (Andy) is now confirmed a place?
Or does Bob has to go for phase 2C supplementary, hoping that school A still have vacancy after phase 2C?
On the other hand, in the scenario that both are successful during their initial registration and we decided in the end to have them in the same school (school A), can we then ‘give up’ Bob’s place in school B and opt for Bob to go to school A instead? Again, will this is ‘automatic’ since one sibling is already eligible to enroll in school A or does Bob has to wait for phase 2C supplementary to enroll into School A.
Hope that the gurus here can provide some insights on the above.
Thanks lots in advance!!! -
hi,
if a child is a girl - her father from ex ACS, mother from a primary school that had closed down many years ago, but grandmother from ex NYPS, can this child enter NYPS - because her grandmother studied ex NYPS before, and her grandma still can NYPS report card to show ?
if no, why not ? i have a friend caught in this dilemma.
thanks for info !
