All About Dental

Hi, I’m planning to bring my son (P5) for a orthodontic consultation soon. He was given a referral letter by school dentist since last year. Any of you or your kid is receiving treatment in JMC? Would really appreciate your feedback (both negative and positive) so that I can ask for the dentist which making appointment.
Thank you. -
DS has been there since JAn. So far so good.

My ten yr old son seems to have bad breath… However I tried, the smell is still there. He brushes twice daily n gargles with lukewarm salt water every nte. I also advice him to rinse his mouth after his meals…he does that only when at home. I normally bring him for dental chkup (pte) yearly once as his Sch has chkup too. I wonder what else I should do… He often gets mouth ulcers often too… Any advice???

I think this is more than dental hygience. it could be due to his digestive system. I remember my dd used to have this problem when she was younger too. I brought her to consult a TCM sinseh. She is alright now.

Dental Hygiene: Flossing is very important. Brush, floss and gargle with concentrated salt water (i.e. tablespoon of salt in half cup of water)
Ulcers: Frequent ulcers indicate heatiness? Consult sinseh and for now, drink lots and lots of water. Urine must be clear ie not yellow -
Hi.... got 29 pages to go through and not enough time.
We need to bring our K2 to the dentist to do a filling. It's her first visit to the dentist. As she will be in KKH for eye review, we are thinking of her sending her to a dentist at KKH.
Anyone using them? Any watch out??? Will bill be exorbitant?
Personally, I am dentist phobic and I hate dentist who suggest this and that. They just feel like sales people to me and I really wonder if they recommend stuff that are unnecessary. -
The charge is very reasonable, may be difficult to get an appt. I don’t think the dentist there will recommend unnecessary treatment, don’t have to worry about that.
I had a bad experience at a private clinic where the dentist made me go for X-ray when I don’t need to, wanted me to do this, buy that… When I asked him what the X-ray was for, he couldn’t answer me. Of cos, I won’t go there again. -

Thanks for responding. Surprisingly I called this am and managed to get a appointment for this friday. The charge is very reasonable, may be difficult to get an appt. I don't think the dentist there will recommend unnecessary treatment, don't have to worry about that.

Given that I am dentist phobic, my current dentist is someone who don't advertise/ push products to me like those sales ladies in spa/ slimming centre
The difference between the 2 is that the dentist is supposed to be someone whom we can trust to propose the best professional judgement for us.
So I can accept going to him, stressfree as I know he won't push me to do this and that. I hope he stays in business as he is probably 50's?. But I don't think I can bring my k2 to him as I wanted to give her a good 1st impression so someone experienced with handling kids will be good.
Also... I told hubby that he must accompany our K2. For this, I am just not up to it. -
Need some advise. DS permanent teeth has started sprouting behind his milk teeth but the milk teeth shows no sign of coming off. Should I just leave it or extract the milk teeth?

Best to bring to a dentist for advice. Most times, we just let the milk teeth naturally fall out, but sometimes, may need dentist intervention. Otherwise, with the milk teeth in there, it will cause over-crowding and as the permanent teeth have no space in the mouth to sprout and grow properly, it may cause mis-alignment. Then must need braces after that.
