Haha! You mean \"wake-up to do more work\" as in talk more in KSP like me? :rotflmao: Just kidding lah... πŸ˜‰

It's not a good thing that I'm online so often. This means I'm too L-F about DD's work, which is why I have the time to yak, yak, yak. Hmm, maybe it's time to slow down a little. πŸ˜‰

I always attend with hubby...well, women can be sensitive and take it negative sometimes but when I asked hubby if he felt the points/tone mentioned are helpful or not, he told me that certain teacher gave useful ones while the other 2 were not...so it's not that I'm overly sensitive.

That's partly the reason why I was having second thoughts. My dh couldn't take leave to go with us. He was there to help control my tongue. πŸ˜‰ I have a different issue. Based on the remarks on the slips given, I felt the teachers might not be in line with me with regard to my expectations for my dd. I have a tendency to nitpick my dd's results in front of the teachers so didn't want to upset myself and the teachers. It's my bad habit. However, dh thinks we should go as a way of showing support that we are working together with the teachers.

After reading it, I still standby (1). I think it is more appropriate because there is someone wanting to know(ply) more information. Secretive workable, but 'tight-lipped' has more 'feel' in it.

Agree! Actually I thought the answer was pretty obvious... and DD chose (1 tight-lipped) as the answer. Didn't realise the complexities until I see it being brought up here. Hehehe! πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰

My hub had not gone for PTC for 2 years. Coz we find it more like chit chat session. N ysday I asked if he's goin dis year, he thinks not necy since I'll be there. I tink it really depends on Ts style, some are v encouraging and positive, so they only give gd feedback and package negative traits of kids to be common traits of kids, so just need to 'encourage' and work on them, like, being less careless with work, paying more attention in class, reading more, conversing more in Mandarin etc.
But I stil go every year in case of any issues that T may have observed and I'm not aware, espy relationships with classmates, presentations in class, and their competencies as compared to their peers etc.

Ya, I am trying to get DD to come up with a time-table too. I've been saying this for the longest time, since DD was in P1, but somehow, the time-table never materialised.

Yes, in the meantime, let's let our hair down and enjoy the one week holiday! As Stephen Covey says in his 7th Habit... Let's \"Sharpen our Saw\"!!! Only then do we have the energy and stamina to \"cheong\" hard for SA1. :celebrate: :celebrate:

I am hoping for the same this year too!
