Oh no, hope she's able to fight the \"flu and cough virus\" and be in the pink of health soon. It's not fun falling sick. Take care and maybe boil for her \"liang cha\".

Oops! No la, the topics just happen to interest me, so I participated a little here and there lor...

You sure it's ONLY a little here and there? Whoa that must be the understatement of the year .....

Haven't you heard of the proverb \"Little drops of water, little grains of sand, make the mighty ocean and the pleasant land\"?

So that's how my \"a little here and there\" contributed to GM3.
Cannot call Ah Jie, must address as 师傅 or 师太! 😉 😉 😉

How does one improve or excel in English Vocabulary Cloze Passage? Is it just through reading more books?

I keep telling DD it’s just "common sense" and I get so upset when she makes an error.

He tinks I'm not doing enough with dem. Coz both results thus he gave me the cold shoulders last nite

Poor mama. DDs didn't do well but mama gets the blame. Don't know whether if my ds doesn't do well, dw will give me the same treatment or not? :?

Yar loh, so I had been sobbg last nite, choked on my tears and had not slept since last nite 😢 :gloomy:
Ha ha, no la, I'm not affected by my hubby, he :spank: me, I'll 🦆 and den :nunchuk: back at him and alls fine...
No seriously, he was just a little disappointed la and really didn't feel like talking. So I had to be sensitive. I guess drafting a workable time table and talking to the kids about it den presentg to him may make him feel happier that we are doing some damage control la. I did draft timetables in the past, but cldnt keep to it due to kids hw and tantrums.
Periwinklejoy:
I tink it really depends on Ts style, some are v encouraging and positive, so they only give gd feedback and package negative traits of kids to be common traits of kids, so just need to 'encourage' and work on them, like, being less careless with work, paying more attention in class, reading more, conversing more in Mandarin etc.
I actually prefer that negative feedback not be grossed over. I find negative feedback that is straight to the pt and supported by examples to be of the most value. Even if I don't agree, I'll keep quiet or just pretend to act surprise.
U very good actor har, K, I will act surprise also :whut:

Funx3:

Better to See statistics from FT this Coming Sat.

But My Gal commented that last year SA2 is EASY ....
So A Drop in Marks in CA1 this year is expected ....
Just Want to find out if the Drop is EXTRA- ORDINARY or Not ....
If EveryOne Drops Around the Same, Her Result is Consistent -la!
😉 😉

Hi Funx3, may I know - Is PH P6 CA1 papers included in those standard set of Top sch exam papers that one can buy from those vendors? If not, can I ask you for a favour - to make a copy of the P6 MA CA1 papers? With answers and workings are ok.

PH's P5 CA1 papers are not included those standard set of exam papers that I bought. That's why I have no idea it can be THAT DIFFICULT! Actually come to think of it, my ds might have attempted 2010 P5 CA1 MA papers in their Mock exam, but I didn't pay much attention to that then.

This year's P5 CA1 MA papers, IMO, really got STANDARD! Even my dh tried to solve the problems until he fell asleep! I will make a copy of it (hopefully T gives it back to us after today's checking, even if they want to collect it back subsequently) for ds to revise in SA1 if I have the chance. So if any of the P4 parents want to have it, let me know.

That's why now have to be KS and start asking for P6's! Especially since your dd also thought it is a difficult one ..

I've seen Some Vendors Selling Past Year Papers, with PH's Papers in it.
If Not Mistaken, in BT Plaza. They Got the Top 10 Sch set and Top 15 Sch Set. Think it's in the Later Set.

Definitely PH will Let the Kids Try the Previous Year Papers Prior to their Actual Exam. Seen This Without Fail, Not Becoz I Run Thru ALL Papers, But Becoz My Gal Tells Me when She's Back Home After Attempting the Papers and inform me How Difficult / Easy as the Case May Be ....
So No Need to Be So Kancheong About It.

I Mentioned P5 SA2 MA Papers is Easier, But Not Meant to Say P6 CA1 MA is Difficult Coz I Don't Know Yet.
MayBe My Gal Did Exceptionally Below Expectations this Year? She is Rather Under Prepared for the CA ....
Got to See Whole P6 and Her Class Avg to Determine ....
Will Update After I Got Info on Fri ....

php:
Another qn 35a) In which setup will the guppy be the first to die? Explain your ans (2 marks).

My boy ans the first part correctly, but no marks becos his 2nd part ans was marked wrong.

His ans: There was no air for the guppy to breathe in setup B.

Correct ans: The fish in setup B has lesser air becos the oil blocks the air from coming in.

there is a big diff between the term \"no air\" and \"lesser air\". am i right?

Yes, I agreed his ans to part B is less than desired. BUT due to this, his correct ans in part A is also not recognised as correct. His understanding is there, but manner of explaining is lacking.

I find the marking scheme getting more stringent.
When They Ask For Explanation to Choice of Answer in Part A. And the Explanation in Part B Does Not match the Correct Ones they HAve in Hand, U Won't Score any Marks for Part A even if that is the Right Choice.

My Gal Got A Rather Cute Comment from T, \"Fluke\" ....
Guess T Means = \"Tikam-Tikam\",
So No Marks -lor ....
Ha Ha ....
