Sporean only allow to choose 2 schools? What if these 2 schools in P2C did not get the chance, then how? 😢

No, all applicants can register at only ONE school during any of the registration phases.
But in the event of balloting, Singaporean will get 2 tickets inside the balloting box.

Oic.. so if I hv 3 choices of sch. eg: Sch A within 1km, Sch B & C 1-2km.

I register Sch A first for balloting.. if fails, I can register for Sch B or C only?

May I know is all schools opens for registration P2C on the same date or different so that I have more chances? What if all the above 3 schools my kid cant get in?

Assume you register with School A in P2C, and fail in the balloting. You can only register your child in School B or C only in P2CS if they still have vacancies.

Registration for all schools fall on the same dates.

If your kid can't get into any school after P2CS, before P3 is open, MOE will ask you to nominate three schools with vacancies left after P2CS. If you choose not to nominate any school, MOE will assign your child to the school with vacancies and is nearest to your house.

During any phase of registration, you can only register at ONE school, and you take your chances with that ONE school.

If you fail to get into that school within that phase, you move on to the next phase. By then, there might not be places available in your 2nd or 3rd choice schools.

So it’s important you choose the school wisely…meaning one with reasonable chance of getting a place, rather than those heavily contested ones.

Yes, agree with BigDevil, please make your choice carefully. Hot schools sure to face balloting within 1km for Phase 2C.

I have given up on Qifa. Spoke with the teacher in charge yesterday and she said first gal is a definite 2C (extremely low chance since 2.71km away) and 2nd gal is 2B (PV is a 99% guarantee entry)

I was offered to do PV and have the 2nd gal join Qifa first and then waitlist for the first gal to join the school later. :stupid:

So in the end, I told her I won't be joining PV. Lakeside also confirmed that I can enter my first gal at 2A2. So went to rackey it today.

                  1. First Choice: Qifa
                  Phrase: 2C (more than 2km)
                  BASC - None Nearby
                  Driving Time: 2 mins

                  2. Lakeside Pri
                  Phrase: 2A2
                  BASC: Pro Teach (Corporation)
                  Driving Time: 10 Mins

Spoke to Pro Teach as well so I am more appeased :rahrah:

So troublesome to have the kids in different schools...furthermore no guarantee your older one can be transferred to same school as younger daughter.
10 minutes drive to Lakeside (Phase 2A2 99% guaranteed) better than 2B (bcos still have to do PV).

Indeed and just got informed by the previous owner that Fuhua is 1-2km within radius. Sticking to lakeside since BASC is across the school.

Is it me or Peer Pessure is massive? My colleagues are already planning to shift to PLMGS or Rosyth and going on that a good reputation is required for a good start. Think that got me into a frenzy that i am not doing anything 😞

Some schools in the neighbourhood do have good teachers...they do teach well and can do certain stuff to help the students which teachers in some branded schools do not.
Peer pressure can be 'contagious'...I do feel that way when I meet other parents who have kids same age as mine...but ultimately it still boils down to consistent revision. Only the parents know how much is needed.
