[Bukit Timah] Primary Schools

greenbean2011:
This is one reason why hubby is determined to register daugher in my former school with affiliation...although further as compared to son's school 5 minutes walk away.yes!indeed, it’s really makes a world of huge difference, whether a child attends an affliated primary school - vs. those who don’t.
if a a child attends affliated primary school, the psle stress for both parents and kid –the mental anxiety during exam preparation, is so many times greatly reduced !
time flies! 6 yrs primary school pass very fast, in the twinkle of an eye! If no affliation, child has to find own secondary school himself.
I mean - of course every parent would love their child to do well.
which parent doesn’t ? But hor, sometimes in life hard to say, anything can happen during psle exam time.
at least can have peace for the next 10 years first!
Those 6 years passes by VERY fast...like what you mentioned in a twinkling of the eye. My son is in P5 now in a school with non-affiliation...it wasn't too long ago when he started P1. Next year, he will be sitting for his PSLE and the stress of getting into a secondary school of his choice will be much harder with the higher COP.
It's hard to tell what could happen near/during PSLE period. During last Sat's briefing, the school principal asked parents to give their moral support by accompanying their children in the year their kids take the PSLE, as well as accompanying them when they collect results as it's once in a lifetime.
10 years of lesser worries from primary to secondary school as compared to 6 years of primary school without affiliation. -

they make it big in life, not being doctors and lawyers . . . . :lol:just wondering ... where do MGS and SCGS girls normally end up after O level ?
for the rich - perhaps send them England / US to study medicine or law degree ? what about those that remain back in SG ? where they go ? -

no matter where they go, some end up marrying acs/sji boys. -

or maybe become socialites...little 'tai tai'. But then MGS girls usually do go far in life. -

We are within 1km.
Joyfulhands,
Hopefully can be in Phase 2B. We submitted the form too but was told at the end of the day, it’s still the school’s decision.
Greenbean2011/Janet,
