Leanne:
I guess SA1 will have more Qs on the recently taught topics like speed and circles while prelims should be more balanced i.e. all the topics. Just my guess. Hope some math teacher/tutor can clarify for us.Hello everyone,
How time flies, holidays is coming to an end.How is holidays for everyone?
Its a good break for us, cos no need to rush to school early in the morning.
I spent time sorting out all the past year papers cos it has been so messy.Just wonder, what is the difference in sa1 and prelim paper for math, can anyone advice?thanks
Regards

We watch three show for this school holiday and dd also enjoy some books like Sir Fong's Adverntures in Science.
Not yet start the prelim papers but for SA1 papers we came across questions on circle, speed, volume and pie chart etc Guess prelim will be 大团圆. -

Hi Leanne,
I think the SA1 paper and Prelim should be covering the same contents _ by then, most schools should have finish the whole PSLE syllabus. However, the SA 1 paper may have more questions coverage for the new topics covered in P6 to ensure testing and foundation of these topics. The prelim paper will be more like overall all in one. -
Hi Brenda10,
I run thr the prelim papers, its also mostly on speed, circle, piechart and volume.
Wow, u are forever good in chinese, pei fu.
We have spent some time in the pool and on wii game to unwind and recharge before the school starts.
Cheers

Hi Pen88n
Yes, I agree with your analysis. Prelim will be the wrap up for all topics had learnt during the primary school. -

Hi Leanne
I think the questions for speed and volume will be getting more cheem in prelim paper.
My CL is so so only and still have long way to learn lah.
Let’s hope all the children have charge enough battery for the next race.
Cheers -
Hi Brenda,
I would think so, but I yet to start the SA1 papers as have shifted the focus to science.
At least, you have put chinese in good use, for me, have not used it for quite sometime, think quite rusty already.
Yes, certainly hope all the p6 students are well charged.
cheers

I think is her CL teacher's initiative as her school didn't have CA1 exam for CL. BTW, I heard from dd her class had already completed those worksheet ahead of SA1. Really :salute: to her CL Teacher for great work done.
Look like most of the schools (my guessing) are still focusing a lot on maths and neglected Science lah.
Yes, still has two days and let’s enjoy this weekend. :celebrate:
Cheers
