After some research, my husband decided to get Galaxy S last year. Just to share what he found after reading some comments from internet. Galaxy S quite similar to Iphone but cheaper. Galaxy tab, u cannot answer the phone directly (need earphone) n bulky. For blackberry u need to subscribe to some service, forgot what it called.

You can go to any big singtel shop to try them out.
BB - more for email and corporate use, need to pay more for the email service.
Galaxy tab - is a tablet, need a bluetooth (ear piece) to make phone calls. It's big and not as handy as a mobile phone. Big screen good for surfing internet.
Galaxy S - runs on Android OS (operating system), can download apps
Iphone - runs Apple OS, can download apps.
You can find out more from this website.

Thks KSP. This web is helpful to me -
blackberry phones are generally "behind" and I believe for starhub and singtel you have to subscribe to some kind of blackberry data plan. galaxy S is very power efficient (read: "2012" caused by humans) and I believe can compete with the iphone. galaxy tab ain’t a phone practically because 1) you need earphones 2) it’s not designed to be a phone in the first place 3) if you don’t have earphones then I believe you have to put the whole tablet to your ear. the dell streak looks awkward enough so I can’t imagine the galaxy tab…

Recently I almost bought an iphone. But then I came across the LG Optimus One running Android, it is free with the Smartsurf plan at Starhub. I decided to try it and I love it ! The Android OS is great to use, and best of all I don't have to pay $500 out of my pocket for the iphone. I highly recommend the LG Optimus One.

I recently bought an Andriod smartphone too and find it very user friendly with a lot of apps in the market place. Yes, iphone is shipping big time in volume but the Andriod OS that runs on a few other top brands like HTC, Samsung, LG and Sony E has 30+% users worldwide is No.1 in term of number of users.
I agree the competition now is only between iphone and Andriod phone.
This has left Nokia once the leader of handphone behind. Nokia is currently teamed up Windows to come out with a new hardware and software to make a comeback. -
iPhone, for the apps.
