Btw, I have scanned the ้ป˜ๅ†™ for P4. Very solid CL. So far, no model compo book or guidebook is able match the standard. The phrases/sentences are great if the child can apply on compo/speech. I also learn from the list. Anyone wish to have a copy, pls let me know. I wish not to cause unnecessary worry so am not posting now unless the demand is there. ๐Ÿ˜‰

It is more suitable for a Sec. students than a P4 student.

  True true...many sec students cannot even read some of these words if w/o the HYPY.

I explain the meanings to my girl while revising. I do not expect her to use them just like a 'click' in her mind during compo/speech. I handpick some and teach her how to use the words/phrases interchangebly/flexibly. As long as she retains abt 20%, I am glad. If I come across some of these (or very similar to any) in books or articles, I share with her. ๐Ÿ™‚

This morning, my gal told me about her compo excercise she did in school , and gotten 7/10
For the first CL compo, I presume? No worries, she doesn't know the expectations yet. It should get better.
It's EL compo, not mandarin. I am kinda worried cos she has been attending learning lab eng since P1 and the learning lab materials focus alot on writing :?

Super stress now, hence work from home to supervise her more closely.

Hi! Will like to find out how do you personally coach/teach your child ?

I assume that most of us are working parents, and there is limited time available to teach in the evening, well, ast least that is what I am facing most of the time - If I do step into the office, I will only be able to coach her from 8 pm - 10pm, sometimes 8-9 pm if I have 9 pm conference calls (and neglecting the second child :?: ) If I work from home, I will spend an hour in the morning to coach her, so that buys me an extra hour.

and from last weekend, i have subscribed The Straits Times also.
