was told by a mom the critiria is \"sincerity\". but basically my understanding is they are looking for free labour not teacher nor professionals ...

      Hi to everyone & ChiefKiasu,

I was informed to attend PV interview on this coming friday. I have heard that for the past years, West Grove did not set control on the number of intake for their PV, which resulted in balloting for <1KM in Phase 2B. Any news whether they will restrict the number of intakes this year?

Can you share with me what criteria are the schools looking at for selecting a PV? I need to know to increase my chances to be selected 😉

No lah. They are looking for \"commitment\".

You must be committed to be available almost everytime they call you and that you may be required to do more than the required 40 hours. So, if you are being called up even if you have completed 40 hours, plse don't be rude and tell them that you have already finish your duty so they shld not call you anymore.
        😉

yes. for WG PV, u must alway be on standby for their call. they can call u on friday afternoon and ask u to go for volunteer work on monday…

if u dont confirm immediately, they would ask: why? give u (chance to meet 40hrs), u still dont want ah?

Just wondering, for those with kids in P1 this year. Does your kid teacher notify the dates of their Maths test beforehand?

Cos I just asked DS FT and she told me it (maths test) there is no schedule, as each class finish each topics at various time. so it is like a mock test (ad hoc basis), to better gague their performance.

That’s why I was kinda of surprise when I received DS 4 maths test papers together (to sign) 2 weeks ago.

Hi xian_kai, my dd FT said that they’ll have test after each topic. Then they gauge the kids’ standard from there.

Unlikely to be going as there is no one to take care of my son who would still be sleeping at that timing. The timing is too early, it would be better if it could be later say at 9 am. If anyone is going, appreciate if you could post an update on the talk. Thanks.
