How can they sue you for the cheques... u didnt keep the maid right... for the new one do u also have to pay? can u make those cheques work agains this new maid? I think u basically dont take this agency next time havent heard about the things they are doing before.. specially for lodging for 30 days

:? can ask them to show proof that maid was introduced to potential employers? Else will agency be eager to 'promote' the maid?
In any case, I agree, you should tell the agency to put in writing that if less than 30 days, you should get a refund based on what formula.
If it comes to sending her home, see if you can arrange flight for her. My ex-maids were indo - the most I paid for airticket was $180 (and that was due to that volcano smoke thingy.....so had to go to another airport). Else I had paid like less than $100 even with baggage. -

Call MOM and tell them; and what's that agency body? And let your agent know you are spreading the good news. I would think that if you going places with your queries and comments, they may give in a bit.

I really don't see why they must make you sign for 30 days; and then only verbally tell you there may be refund at the end of it.
Come to the end of it, I will put that liner in the agreement and then sign...with their signature affixed, they also cannot run. Verbal holds no grounds - black and white is king. -

We have the right to say \"NO\" because of their lousy service. This maid agency was giving us a headache. No transfer maid. New maid took around 3 weeks to reach Singapore after she reached Singapore then found out that she was pregnant. We needed a helper badly yet they kept us waiting and waiting. My husband was fuming mad, he scolded the PIC almost everyday. In the end, they gave us a FULL Refund (except the Insurance Fee - prorated).LKVM:

According to our helper, when she first arrived in Singapore she resided at the Owner (Maid Agency) house and her everyday meal was noodle. The maid agency had better ensure that they give the helper a proper meal for the $15.00

u have to see who we dealing with..a lot of agencies 'bully' we employers & sometimes, also the maids...they try to fleece us!! if we just take it ^ keep quiet..they win & EARN for nothing done for us!!

at certain situations, we really have to force ourselves to become 'BENG' & shout in order to show that we can't be bullied!!
For my case, aft I sent bk my 1st Indo maid caught stealing, I chose 2nd maid fm mynmar. But she was dreamy, blur, not willing to learn, basically uncoachable!! so sent her back after 1 week, & was urgent to get replacement, coz I would be giving birth in 3mths time..told United **** agency we don't want to choose from biodata coz not info not accurate, told the salesperson to recommend, he said no, & gave VERY bad attitude & totally can't be bothered with our request(coz $$ for loan, agency fee etc, all collected from us already ma..)..& even scolded me!! end up my hubby made a scene at the agency,& shouted at him, but he also not scared..we demanded to see their boss & complained abt this staff..After a lot of heated arguments & exchange of words, The boss finally agreed to check with mynmar supplier/trainer to pick a good 1 for us, who eventually worked for us for ard 2yr...
My case, if my hubby didn't handle & do it the ugly way, nothing positive will come out of it..
So sometimes, really no choice but got to be fierce!! no need to be 'ke qi' with agencies!! -
Agency United … aint a gd choice, hear many stories of delay tactics n excuses to get maid into singapore.

多一个朋友好过多一个敌人。[/quote]Although it is good to forget and forgive, some simply not worth to be your friend or even colleague. The type of person I am referring to are those who always look for scapegoat when thing goes wrong, and do not have the guts to admit their mistake.
