My DD lost her student pass...

My DD lost her student pass on the way back to home today.
I don't know how to do now. Do I need to report loss at police office? How to apply a new card? What is the fee for the next card? It will be very inconvience for my DD before she get a new card... -
You will need to report to SMRT. They will cancel the lost one. Then you will have to apply for a new one from there.

Yes, Little M is right. Go to the ticket office (usually at any bus interchange) Have to pay $18 for replacement and the balance from the previous/lost card will be added to the new card after a few days. Lost twice olredy :?

Do we need to inform National Library since it can be used to borrow books?
-
Hi,
Not just SMRT, you should go to the National Library (any branch) to report lost too as the student pass can be used to borrow library books.
The librarian will most likely advise you to make the normal library card and deactivate borrowing via BC number. This is to prevent the old student pass from being used. Inconvenience is you can't use the new student pass to borrow books too.
Well, this is info from 1+ years ago, not sure has anything changed since -
My niece lost her card also, sometimes ago. But somehow, she is lucky that the person who found it returned the card. So just hope the person who found ur DD card will do the same. U can try call the customer service line to find out whether anybody return the card or not.

Call me KS, but try to do asap.
When my son lost his in school during lunch, I called SMRT immediately, but decided not to cancel so soon and waited. 2 days passed by, no news....and I found out from SMRT, his card was utilized that very evening. So I quickly cancel the library access as well. Luckily I had only ~$10 in it.
2+ months later, my dd lost hers in school as well. We only discovered the next day, and when I tried to check with SMRT.......guess what. SMRT told me they had just updated the system, so cannot check the usage anymore. So no choice, cancel immediate too. Well, lucky I did. It was never found.
