      Funx3:
I Have Enquire at Phoon Huat, at Bencoolen Road Before.

Coz I Find the 1 kg Pack consumes up super Fast, and Got to Replenish constantly.
And they Ask Me if I'm opening a Bread Shop, Ha Ha ....

Coz they sell the 25 kg (or is it 20kg? Something like that ....). Advised Me AGAINST it, coz once flour pack is open, best to consume within 1 month, or else loose its \"POWER\" ....
So, I \"Kuai-Kuai\" Stick to Hauling the 1kg Flour Powder Back Home ....
      πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰
You sure use a lot of flour!

              Most supermarkets should carry.

Phoon Huat has it. Otherwise you can get from supermarkets. SCS butter carries both salted and unsalted.

When I Bake, I just use Whatever is Available in my Fridge ....
But Have Not Detect Much Difference in my Cakes, etc ....

But Have Not Detect Much Difference in my Cakes, etc ....[/quote]Salt masks the sweet taste of butter, so you lose the nice butter flavor that good unsalted butter delivers in a baked product. Also, the amount of salt in the butter varies from manufacturer to manufacturer, so you can't control the amount of salt that goes in, and there is a danger that the product becomes over salted. If you do use salted, and the recipe calls for salt to be added, you should probably reduce the amount of salt to take into account the salt content of the salted butter. I bake only with unsalted, and haven't done a taste test between using salted and unsalted. but i don't think the taste difference will be very significant, though if you have sensitive taste buds, you should stick with unsalted. Hope this helps!

Lurpak comes in salted and unsalted to. I quite like tha flavour, but it's more expensive, so don't buy it unless I'm baking something special. I prefer to buy my butter from Phoon Huat than the supermarkets. Cheaper.

Most recipes when they indicate butter it means normal salted butter, unless they specify unsalted. But MummyThreeStreams has given a good explanation... :celebrate:
