I'm quite fed-up wearing glasses, esp when I'm perspiring and glasses keep slipping off nose. Thought of doing Lasik but worry about side-effects and thinking I may not be able to do away with glasses completely if I should develop lao3 hua1 one day. Surgeon who did eye op for hubby said presbyopia (lao hua) hits when person reaches 40...and I'm getting close to that :roll:php:
surprisingly, i don't need a reading glasses at the moment....but i thought you are much younger than me...
The problem hit me when I was in early 30s. Surprising rite? But according to optician, it's not an uncommon phenomenon nowadays. -

Like what you mentioned. So, 'easy' to plan lah...just include everything for revision. Like what Mr HOD told me, 'if not, how else does Pei Hwa get top students ?' -

Wah! Mr HOD Sc Say that?

Haha, I know i sound mean, but PH's science results are nowhere near spectacular leh..
for other subjects, I agree PH's done very well.. but how to attribute 'top students' to this subject?!

Aiyah, you all don't be like this mah. It's not over-confidence, it's pride & honour for the school. I always tell my ds, he better do well so as not to sully the good name of PH. Ding ding ding ding (soli can't resist the ding) .janet_lee88:

Btw, how come we all assume its' the Sci HOD leh? Janet didn't specificially say that leh. Unless you all know something that I don't, hehe. -
Hi Parents,
I was like, ok. But honestly, I didn't quite the tone. Did PH really produce top grades for Science ?
markfch,
I did speak to HOD himself. -

Oh realli it's Sci HOD again har. Actually when conversing, words only made up 30% of the meaning, tone and demeanor make up 70%.Hi Parents,

Imagine if I tell my ds in a nice tone, 'You are very clever hah.' Compared this to a fierce tone, 'YOU ARE VERY CLEVER HAH!'. Words are identifical, but the message relayed is totally different. Sometimes, I think people who have to deal with the public simply has to get out there and go for communication courses.
