Science Guide Books

Hi Champion,
Science is indeed wide, but Diversity is still managable and I don’t see the need for self-made notes yet. My guess is that ‘Materials’ section is going to be a killer as there will be a lot more to read up about different types of materials (as well as needing to understand their characterisics, eg absorbent anot, flexible anot etc). Then cycles will mean a lot of memorising too.
Have you check out EPH Ultimate science guide yet? I find it more comprehensive than the Power Guide (they have basic concept maps too) although the latter has some interesting information that is not in the former. -
Buy all!! Buy all !!!
Remember, one guide not enough haha
Think I also have the ultimate (old version), some booster, my pals PSLE. But all sitting beautifully as deco.... Gotta nag at kids to take it out to read sigh. -

Materials is a topic which requires the kids to know difference between 'hard' and 'strong'. Cycles another killer topic about remembering stages of life cycles for animals and comparing similarity and differences (P3/4). For P5, it's also about comparison between human and plant reproduction cycles.Science is indeed wide, but Diversity is still managable and I don't see the need for self-made notes yet. I find that EPH PSLE Ultimate Science Guide and PSLE Revision Guide are sufficient. No need for Power Guide. Too many resources sometimes can be scary...Ultimate Science is sufficient to take the child from P3 to P6 plus a big memory bank in the brain. -

Sorry for the late reply as I do not log in daily.
Hi Peony,Peony:
Please do not regret buying the eph booster book.
My DD scored above 90 for science in P3 and 4 and she used that book a lot. The experiments there is useful for section B questions - the observation and conclusions can be used as answers for section B.
For science 1 book is not enough - I have many and I find this is one of the better ones.
Thanks for your post; appreciates so much.
What other Science booster books do you recommend?
My DD builds her \"foundation\" before she hits other schools past exam papers. So basic infor is still important.
Aside from EPH's booster, she likes:
Renee Chong's Science Companion Boxed set
Ultimate Science Guide
and to assess she's able to recall essential infor, she uses:
Oxford Primary essentials
and SAP's Learning Science (she likes the puzzle type qns).
This was the strategy for P3 and 4. Now no time... :nailbite: -
@Peony, that’s a lot! No wonder she did so well.
Hi all,
I agree on EPH PSLE Ultimate Science Guide and PSLE Revision Guide are good guide books. As for the MC new Concept Map book, I saw it last month but personally I find the concept maps too brief. -

I have not checked out the EPH Ultimate Science Guide yet but will do so after reading your recommendation :D...So the outer covering looks like the below pic (they only have pic for upper block but I saw the other colour for lower block is dark purple as a background).

Really appreciates much to share the strategy :thankyou:
I have the Renee Chong's science Companion Boxed Set too as recommended by DD's tutor.
Hope I will be able to help to build up her foundation and interest in Science so in turns she will learn to appreciate & love this subject  -
Renee Chong has ‘updated’ version for her Science. 2 thick books now for lower and upper block

Hi Janet,
You are very \"updated\" and thank you for the info :udawoman:
So am wondering will the \"updated\" version be better than the current one where the lower block they have 5 books for the different theme? Guess this evening I have much to do at IMM Popular again :rotflmao: :rotflmao:
