        Wow, Bukit Panjang is popular also? 😐 gosh man, even P2B is a struggle :!:

        Wait! You stay within 1-2km of Qifa !! LOL which means taking my chance hehehehe πŸ˜› , just joking πŸ˜› but ya, I agree with your pick and Qifa is so much nearer

        For Chinese, I picked Molin :oops: (yes it's far)
        Nothing for English yet, TMO (Teach My Own) πŸ‘…
        Maths, considering JEI but pondering the schedules

            Wonder how would this year's registration be like?

            Will Qifa's intake cool down and what's the situation like for the rest of the primary schools... Can't Wait (though it is seriously stressful πŸ˜› )

              Need some advise here..

              DS is gg P1 in 2012.. As much as I would like him to get in Bukit View Pri Sch based on Phase 2C (on 1km range), I am worried abt my chances. Last yr the sch had their 1st balloting for Phase 2C supp, do you tink m taking a risk? I could actually reg DS in PEPS as am an alumni there, but I really dun wan to let him go into tat sch due to distance..

              Any advise? Really appreciate it..TIA πŸ™‚

                The usual advice here is to register your DS at your alma mater first in Phase 2A2. This is to ensure your child already has a place.

                Then in Phase 2C, monitor the registration situation for Bukit View and decide what is the likelihood of getting a place. If chance is good, withdraw from PEPS, then register at Bukit View.

                But seriously, I doubt there will be balloting in Bukit View in phase 2C for under 1km since they never had a history of balloting in 2C. Even if there is balloting for 2C this year, it will likely be for those outside 1km, or even outside 2km.

                Nonetheless, it’s good to secure a place first in PEPS. Just a bit of extra hassle to do an additional registration and withdrawal.

                  Yes to register, monitor, pull out, then register in another school seemed a hassle but I think it is good advise and I would not mind doing since this is likely a one time only exercise to get the best choice school for our child.

                      @celtricia:

                      Actually how far is PEPS from your home? The 2 schools are like within 2km from each other, so at most you are 3km from PEPS?

                      PEPS is, by far, a more popular school (not sure if you buy into this popular school thing)....30% vs 8% in the poll here: http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?t=463&postdays=0&postorder=asc&vote=viewresult

                      So perhaps you can consider what mummy of 3 suggested.
