Hi Mummies,
So the kids results will slowly improve towards year end ?
Son's 3 subjects (Eng/Science/Chinese) is in the 60s range...Band 3. Red for Maths. Just planned his revision time-table and hope to see better results for SA1

With you the committed mum planning all the revision and working side by side with your DS, I'm sure his results will improve. Don't worry too much as it will cause DS more stressed and kids may not perform well under stress. PSLE is still a long way - consistent work and all should be well. All the Best!
We work hard together..... Jia You..... -

My dd is in P5, same as your ds.
I just like to share this with regards to my niece who took PSLE last yr. All the while from P1 to P4, she was in the 90s for her Maths, then in P5 CA1 she failed, 40plus. But by the time end of P5 came, she was back in 80s range. And this happened for many of her friends too. So, hang in there, Janet. Soon the red will turn blue and increase back to normal.
Cheers.

Thank you for your assurance. Until now, hubby couldn't accept why 83 for Maths at P4 can drop to 33% at P5. Will continue to work on his Section A as well as other areas in assessment book.
Seems that his class is strong in Maths and Science...class average for CA1 was 75% :!: On my part, I have planned his SA1 revision but dare not drive him too hard...afraid it will backfire b4 PSLE. -
Yes Parents, we have to motivate one another and uplift our moods to prepare along side with our kids. Since SA1 is round the corner and let's all unite, to keep fit and healthy, pray and support each other. Cheers

Yes, we have to bond and make sure we can help kids get through SA1 but stay sane at the same time. -
Hi Mummies,
My son is banded into a class which is strong in Math & Science.
I was shocked to hear that class average for Science (CA1) was 75 and he was below average for this subjectβ¦supposedly his stronger subject. Now worried how to prepare him for SA1β¦esp if everything from P3/4/5 will be tested. Any advice pls ? -

firstly, breathe slowly
From your past few posts regarding this topic, I can see that you are really worried about having P3 and P4 topics in the exams too. It's OK.
What you can do is have his past CA & SA exam papers and go through them. Focus on mistakes he made - he has been strong in science, so this should not take long. Ensure he now knows how to answer those questions.
After that, get him to do a few exam papers (those top schools one). Just 2 or three are enough. -

I am going through past year exam questions for Science to understand how to answer the OE questions.
