I have received an email from the sch stating:

We would like to welcome you on board our vibrant group of PSG. I will email you the links, FB page as well as upcoming events TPS has for year 2011 on a separate email. All emails will come from [email protected] which is our generic email address.

Do let me know the days and time you are available to volunteer so that I can check on the school prog available for you to start clocking the 40 hours.\"

Does it means I dont need to go thru the interview? If yes.. wow.. i am much relieve.. :rahrah:

mambobb, not sure about that...but lucky you!! πŸ˜„

for Qifa, the influx of PV could have caused the interview process lol but it is rather clear that if you let them know your area of work, they will explore you to assist in other PV items like IT related stuff

jat to check if any of you know that for PV, after your application is accepted, it's either u or ur hubby can take turn to do the work to accumulate the 40 hours. my hubby told me this, so it's good right? at least can share the \"load\" haaa.. and no only one person have to use his/her leave only

Yes.. you are right... Both your hubby and yourself can take turn to perform PV duties to accumulate the 40 hours. I'm a PV at JWPS and occasionally my hubby took leave to perform ad-hoc duties whereas i will be concentrating on daily morning gate duty. I've completed more than 40 hours 2 months back, now only waiting for Phase 2B registration for my DD this coming July. πŸ˜‰

Thanks thanks. the flexibility is good for working parents like myself πŸ™‚

can only comment now after I heard the other parent asking,

the 40 hours can be split between both parents and you can ask them for their list of events for the year where they will require assistance in

                  Dear Hildan’s Parents,

First of all, I have to say that I’m quite impress with the activities that PSG has organized for the students e.g. HARP, RIFP, ILM, and MME. As a parent, these initiatives are exactly what we would like to see and to help support for school children when they are in need; good or bad regardless. Good job to you all!!

Out of interest of becoming one, I went to the school and found out that this year’s PV recruitment has started for children born in 2007.

Any strategies that you all would like to share in order to get selected as PV in this school? Is the selection stringent? And what are the chances of getting selected?

Thanks for sharing your success stories.

Heard from 2 neighbours, the school requested for female PVs only for school excursions... so the men don't get it...

I had the impression that they only want guys to do heavy weight stuff, etc so women can't PV πŸ‘…
