The mail I sent to Jennifer encountered problem so here’s the new list. Maybe Jennifer can cut and paste to replace the one on the first page? Thanks.

      Thanks, E3!

According to my ds, it is only for twk9-5, and they will choose 10 kids from each class. That's why kids must write a personal statement and give reasons why you should be selected, etc.
my ds said he don't want to go cos been there before.
Heard if too many students interested in going, the T i/c will also interview some kids why they should be given the chance to go. Btw, mine also mentioned same reason as yours πŸ˜‰
hi, can any experience parents briefly give some ideals on abt \"Show and Tell\" as i was being told by my P2 ds that they will be tested for SA1. TIA

When my son had Show and Tell in P1/2 then, he had to choose a subject from a list of items given. Then based on that, I will discuss with him about it...for eg colour, shape, material, usage. Have intro, body and conclusion. Then make it lively when presenting it.

Wah :!: .... sound easy but so worry my ds in the end will talk until out of topic....... :stupid: 😒
Record down his presentation (Phone with good speakers will do and it's portible, so can practise everywhere he goes), let him listen to his own voice and tone. Have a good laugh, then improvise. πŸ˜‰ Project his voice and be confident.

Last year, FT gave a guide on Intro, Body and Conclusion. Choose an item to present, give a brief intro, then give about 3 pointers at the body, provide egs. etc and summarise at the conclusion.

For my dd's class, the english teacher gave them a sample of what was required ie the first three to four sentences are to describe the object they choose, the next five sentences to talk abt the object in general (like why you like it, what goes with it) and the last sentence ending.

Her teacher already 'marked' the 'show and tell' passage. so now she has to memorize the passage and present it on the actual day.

My ds is very keen to go. I think he likes the idea of being with his friends for a few days. Any parents whose kids have gone before when they were in P4? The form mentioned airfare, does it mean they fly there? How? Go to JB to take the flight? I don't think there is direct flight from SG.

Did the rules and regulations state that all team members attire must be uniform?

But Team Dis-Qualify coz of Improper Attire, Not Different Uniform ....
What if they must wear long pants for religious reason? Muslims must wear long pants right?

Heard from some P5 kids that last year they've the choice to go either Malacca (May) or China (June). But this year, 've not heard any news on the China trip yet. Don't know whether still the same.
