Every maid gets one. And it tells them where to run away to (I mean turn to) for help.
I may ask her tonight or check with my agent first - she went to MOM for thumb printing with my agent and to collect her WP but i remember she returned empty-handed.Littlefly:
YES!! I agreed with what you have all said!!! Just sent my maid back abt 2 weeks ago. Can't stand her. Always moody face. She actually didn't answer me when I called her a few times!! So mad that I told her to pack and go back to the agent. Guess what? Her tears flowed straightaway and said she wanted to return home, got home problems! Bought her an air-ticket the next day. She left her diary( booklet given by MOM) behind. I got my colleague to interpret. She got the cheek to say that she doesn't like my kid!! When I interviewed her, she said she likes kids!!! She even said she wants to change employer but doesn't wat to pay the transfer fee, so waiting for us to speak up first!!! Maybe that's why she purposely gave us \"face\" and didn't want to answer me!! We played right into her hands!!
Your maid is so scheming! Did she finish her loan ?
My maid did not tell me about any MOM booklet leh. Does every maid gets one ? -

According to the Maid Agency, if it was the Maid who asked for Transfer than she has to bear the Transfer Fee. Only 1 mth of their salary... I find that 1 mth salary is no big deal for those maids who \"eagerly\" wish to leave our house.snoopy:
Just that my kid suffers everyday, from travelling here and there. My poor boy still says he misses her. I told him she doesn't like him at all, forget about her!
I thought the new employer pays the transfer fee? -

If maids can make life so difficult for us until we want to send them away, how come we never thought of making life so difficult for them that they want to leave and pay the penalty?   Just joking.

Pillow case?????? u never scolder her? I heard Myanmar maids have habit of writing on the wall... :|
i also noticed that, my maid like to write poems.. both also same. write how much they are missing home.. but next page is write how much money they will get at the end of contract and my prev maid even draw out her dream house.. double storey some more.. but i thk jst a way to express their lonliness at foreign place.. and of course i also saw my maid write that we people in spore look down on them (indo) cos sometimes we will say things like. u may not see or try this thing b4 cos indonesia not as advance.. so from her diary i can tell she is offended la.. so we never say lor .. but sometimes when i angry with her.. i still say it.. opps..

pillow case and wall? I’d better go check my maid’s wall and pillows.

I think the booklet is given to the maids when they first arrive in Singapore. My maid can draw very well too. She uses my A4 printing paper to draw and colour during the sch hols, claiming my boy asks her to. But I didn’t see her giving the pictures to him!! Forgot to add 1 more point, she got the cheek to change her mind and asked me to let her stay and go for interviews until she found another employer!! I said no! I also found out that she has been circling agencies’ numbers (in the newspapers) that help maids to find jobs overseas, such as Taiwan and HK!! She has no hear to work for me at all!!! Then why stay? Actually, I pitied her when she came to me (she was a transfer maid, chg 3 employers but loan still not paid up yet!!). I "helped" her pay off her 6-mth loan before deciding to terminate her services…actually wanted to do so when she was with us for 3 months. After her loan was paid up, she started to show her true colours.
