Actually its no big deal.. my prev maid had the habit of writing and she finished the booklet in just 1 week then asked me for diary i gave quite fat diary which she finished in 6 months  then asked for more :!:

Ya... I realised all our maids has the habit of writing.
Our 1st maid wrote all over her pillow case.

Pillow case?????? u never scolder her? I heard Myanmar maids have habit of writing on the wall... :|[/quote]i also noticed that, my maid like to write poems.. both also same. write how much they are missing home.. but next page is write how much money they will get at the end of contract and my prev maid even draw out her dream house.. double storey some more.. but i thk jst a way to express their lonliness at foreign place.. and of course i also saw my maid write that we people in spore look down on them (indo) cos sometimes we will say things like. u may not see or try this thing b4 cos indonesia not as advance.. so from her diary i can tell she is offended la.. so we never say lor .. but sometimes when i angry with her.. i still say it.. opps..

I think the booklet is given to the maids when they first arrive in Singapore. My maid can draw very well too. She uses my A4 printing paper to draw and colour during the sch hols, claiming my boy asks her to. But I didn’t see her giving the pictures to him!! Forgot to add 1 more point, she got the cheek to change her mind and asked me to let her stay and go for interviews until she found another employer!! I said no! I also found out that she has been circling agencies’ numbers (in the newspapers) that help maids to find jobs overseas, such as Taiwan and HK!! She has no hear to work for me at all!!! Then why stay? Actually, I pitied her when she came to me (she was a transfer maid, chg 3 employers but loan still not paid up yet!!). I "helped" her pay off her 6-mth loan before deciding to terminate her services…actually wanted to do so when she was with us for 3 months. After her loan was paid up, she started to show her true colours.

true. i tried not to take transfer maid too. my second maid was a transfer maid, cos i sent my first maid back due to her bad attitude and cant wait long for new one, trhe agent coax me into taking the transfer maid, initially i thought was 1 time transfer, when i checked , she was transferred 3 times, so when she come to me, im her 4th employer. stupid lousy agency lor.

but lucky thing, except from being slow and gong gong(not smart)… she is ok and willing to learn. she ended up learnt to cook so many chinese dishes from my mum. maybe now in taiwan or HK ba… wish her luck !

in a way yes… at least not much trouble. and maybe she adapt to our style … must be fast fast fast… agent said she was too slow for the other family where she has to look after a granny who is on wheelchair.

Thats the reason I always dread the transfer maids... i prefer fresh atleast they r not rejected before 😛

Transfer maids are the worst. My last one had a recommendation letter from her last employer saying she was so good etc. She was one kind. Very rude, very lazy, always telling lies and worse still, sleeps around for money. Her friends told me after I sent her packing. I now suspect that her recommendation letter was a fake.

i feel we should not let maid carry phone. tt’s where she become outgoing ? no phone, no contact, no trouble. for philippino maid, harder to control cos they are more educated. indo/mynmar should be able to restrict them from having phone, help them save money also wat

But they can get hold of one through friends etc and hide it from you.
