I am a FTWM with 2 kiddies. My mil will cook dinner during weekdays and takes a break in weekends thus I will try to make simple meal during weekends if we are too lazy to go out. I am always on the go to search for goodies/food that require min preparation and cooking time. Starting this new topic so to hope to pick up wonderful 1 dish meal recipes.

I had already posted this Ipoh HorFun photo in \"how to cook nice meals\" topic but lets take it as a start ya.

Soups! Dumpling soup, pork rib soup, minced pork+tofu soap, yong tou foo soup, laksa, chicken curry .....add whatever sort of noodles into the soup if u don't want to wash rice cooker. ๐Ÿ˜‰

My fav is chicken rice using rice cooker. Just marinate the chicken parts w cooking wine, pepper, dark soy sauce, garlic & ginger overnite, and pour everything into the rice to cook together. Water 10% lesser than usual bcos of the marinate. Can add carrots in the beginning or raisins & broccoli 15 min later & it will b a very substantial meal. ๐Ÿ˜„

                      Please help! :?:

I have been trying to cook hor fun the hawker centre style. But my hor fun always clumps together ๐Ÿ˜ž

This is what I do :

                      Heat the wok.
                      Add oil.
Put the kuay teow in when I see smoke appearing.
                      Add the dark soy sauce.
                      Stir fry the kuay teow.

But the kuay teow just clumps up.

Can anybody tell me where I went wrong? Thanks!
