Quite a lot of homework for my ds this weekend plus projects. Sometimes quite frustrating for us as parents too. This year, find that we don’t have much time for family outings and family gatherings with extended family or friends.

My dd was also got good speaker award for the prelimin round. I hope a cert will be given for her small achievement. -

Thanks. Didn't think he would be selected for leadership camp.... DS is the quiet sort but seems quite popular with his peers.
Agree. Have been wanting to arrange an outing to the zoo, mainly for my younger kid... and keep shelving it... -

DD's group won the prelminary round of debate comp held at RGS this morning. :celebrate:

Congrats, Herbie!
For the leadership camp, I guess the teachers in my dd's school could not decide how to select.
First, the kids were asked to complete a questionnaire and they were asked to name a person whom they feel should attend the camp. In the end, from her class, only prefects and class monitors were selected. -
Hi Musette
Thanks! My dd also has no time for R&R.

Congrat! Can share which is that 'right' school of yours? For such good profile your dd will have no problem in getting into any school, except SOTA and NUSH. By then her choice need not be yours and it will also be influence by peers and they usually go RGS leh.hi ksme. Thanks.. we are 'eyeing' for other sch la.

Ya lor! In the end, the kids selected are mainly those originally from the gep school as they are the prefects and monitors since they are \"more established\" already compared to newcomers from other schools. -

Yah, those from the school in P1 have an advantage because they're already known leaders. But if the kid is outstanding, there is still a chance of being selected, like Herbie's dd.jtoh:
