Huh? 3 hours for baking is not long. I think it's just nice. Mine was hands on. I don't like demo sessions. šŸ˜‰

 dunno leh, i feel is long.
ya, hands -on session takes longer time.
        i opp, prefer demo session,
juz sit there and watch, (since we have some baking experience, shd understand better šŸ˜‰ )

That time when I attended, I had ZERO baking experience except during Home Econs class in Sec 1 and 2. šŸ˜‰ šŸ˜‰

Where is a good place, I dont mind long. Just a place that will really teach you and ensure you come back knowing what to do.

I think bake it yourself (google for the website and contact details) has a baking course too. But not sure how good it is.

I was a pure beginner when I started baking 3 years ago. I wouldn't call myself very good now, but I'm competent. I didn't attend any courses because I couldn't afford the time. I basically learnt all my baking from watching Nigella Lawson, Rachel Allen, Martha Stewart and Jamie Oliver on TV! There are also excellent books and Internet resources out there. YouTube is brilliant for these things. Then it was just practice, practice and practice. My friends and colleagues were the beneficiaries after
DH complained of putting on weight...

I would still like to attend a course one day, but not having attended a course doesn't stop one from picking up the whisk and mixing up some muffin batter!

                All the best!
