      Hi Augmum,


      Guess what? Can't bake the Fruitcake today...just realized run out of baking powder! Bad planning on my part. Phoon Huat closes early on Sun, right? May pop in to NTUC to grab some later...

        Hi Happy Mama,

        What I meant was the the \"main\" cake section I just randomly put in the butter and choclate portions. The \"top\" part of cake I put some more choco portion and swirl...Hope u get what I mean... ( normally, if rem correctly, the portion of the butter mixture is much more than the chocolate portion...you can spread the 2 mixtures anyhow you like - just need to leave some for the top swirling) šŸ˜„

          Oops, no baking powder?
          do u have baking soda and cream of tartar ?
          u can mix 2 parts cream of tartar with 1 part baking soda,
          such as mix 2 tsp cream of tartar with 1 tsp baking soda.

          ya, u can go to ntuc, some even operates 24 hrs. šŸ˜„

            i tried b4 the dim sum carrot cake, it's nice.
            like those served in chinese dim sum restaurants type, rather soft type.
            but i hate to grate the raddish carrot, hardly make now.

            oh...not orange with carrot....
            i mean orange color carrot...instead of the white carrot (raddish). :oops:
