      Hello Tamarind,

I went to search. Surprisingly the books are only available at TaoBao and Amazon China. However the title pictures are not the same but still written by the same author 杨其铎. :?

I plan to get a copy from amazon.cn using 65daigou, will post my reviews here.

      Hello Tamarind sensei,

I found it! It is available at dangdang as well. Here is the link
      :rahrah:
      http://product.dangdang.com/product.aspx?product_id=21055950&ref=search-1-pub

The content of the pages is found in this link.

      http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=9768281563

YES YESY!!!! I am getting that as well! :celebrate: I am getting the whole 7+1 book set of 四五快读 for my SIL as well. Hopefully she likes it too.

      Thanks for the great info.[/quote]
Looks like dangdang have it in stock now 😄

Thanks for providing the link to taobao.

I looked at a section of the book :

The author uses words that are taught in the book to write these stories. This is excellent because kids will be very confident reading these stories, this is great for preparing kids to read other story books on their own.

Also, I find that the author's stories are very well written, in comparison to Berries materials 😉 Kids will definitely benefit from reading her stories.

        hot:
Btw Taobao and Dangdang, what is the difference in book price, shipping cost and duration to SIN?

        Hi hot,
dangdang is one big Nasdaq listed company, while taobao is a site which allows different companies and individuals to sell their goods. There are many book sellers in taobao (some of them may be individuals selling their own items), but I don't think they ship direct to Singapore, and they don't accept overseas credit cards. The only way to buy from taobao is through 65daigou.com.

        dangdang ships direct to Singapore.

          Hi Tamarind

Thanks for the advice, I have started my P2 gal with 45kaidu and she is enjoying the learning. I find the older they are, they learn faster? Anyways I only do the series with her as it is more time consuming, with my 2 younger ones, they are still using the Sage series which they enjoy.

          Hi porcupine12trade,
Older kids definitely learn much faster. My older girl completed all 6 books in 3 months. Also, older kids can probably learn just by pointing and reading, no need to play games, because they are already used to sitting still and focusing.

yes yes! i m having much easier time, coz older kids understand \"they hv to learn\". hmmm then mayb i should just teach 45kuaidu to the younger ones when they are older!

btw not sure if you still rem i asked abt the 杨红樱 consolidated story books.. 4 in a series and consolidate many many of her stories. I received the books and I am very happy with them! They are of good size to carry around, the words are ok, bigger then newspaper font and the pictures are very nice and colour... only 50+yuan, gosh its so worth it!

Thanks Tamarind for your useful advise, really helpful 😄

My order have not arrived yet. Really hope to kick off asap for my boy. I will try my best to teach, I believe we would gain something even it may take a longer time to achieve.

Do u have experience with 65daigou.com? I am thinking if the waiting time is much shorter, 65daigou is a good avenue to consider to buy from dangdang books. and wonder by going thru 65daigou, will it help to solve the credit card issue?

Don't worry, try to focus on letting your boy enjoy the learning process. 😄

I have not ordered anything with 65daigou before. You can read this excellent blog by keltong :
                http://www.kelvintong.com/2011/03/07/chinese-books-purchased-from-65daigou-com/

It is definitely a lot faster, and you can do bank transfer. But the shipping cost is higher, and you must be very careful not to buy heavy sets of books, otherwise the shipping will be more expensive than the cost of the books.

Yes, I saw your posting regarding the 65daigou that’s why quite tempting to try. However, as I prefer to get book sets / collection. I supposed the heavy sets of books mean these type of book bah…this case sure incur heavy shipment charge as well. Hmmm…think unless got books that in need urgently. In view to the big order which often time could sum up to a few hundreds de… think better 乖乖 wait patiently for dangdang to ship to us.

Yes if you are getting just one or two books and you need them urgently, it is fine to use 65daigou. For books sets of 10 or more, it will be cheaper to use direct shipping.

In case other parents are interested to know, the set of 7 books of Si Wu Kuai Du weighs slightly over 2 kg, those who want to try 65daigou can check with them about the estimated shipping charges.
