Hi Tianzhu! Thanks for uploading! We were stuck with length HG. How do you tell HG is half of CD? We arrived with 2cm instead of 3 cm....

        Hi

Observe that that is a short line or tick at AE, FG and HG.This shows that the three lengths are the same which is 3 cm.

        Best wishes

                  Dear Tianzhu and all

Greatly appreciate input to the following P4 math questions:-

                  (1) Malek and Wahab had 525 marbles. 1/6 of Malek’s marbles and 4/11 of Wahab’s marbles were blue in colour. The rest were red in colour. If they had equal number of blue marbles, how many red marbles did Wahab have?

                  (2) Mr Chen celebrates his birthday today. 12 years ago, he was thrice as old as his daughter, and his wife was 24 years older than her daughter. If his wife is 51 years old this year, how old was Mr Chen last year? Is the answer 57 or 56 years old?

                  Thanks.

                    Hi

                    A quick answer.

                    For Q1
                    1/6 ------ 4/11
There are equal number of blue marbles, hence make the numerators of the fractions the same.

                    4/24 ------ 4/11

                    35 units ------ 525
                    1 unit ------ 15

                    7 units ------ 105 (Wahab’s share of red marbles)

For Q2, the answer is 56 years old.

                    Best wishes
