Agree that generally mlm product is a bit ex. I am not sure how Nuskin works. However, recently I joined Tupperware (also a mlm) and started using their beauty product. Bcos I joined as a member, I do get member price and if look at, member price is quite the same as those branded prices such as SKII etc.

I have also tried Elken product and find it much more ex than Tupperware (beauticontrol) product, even for member price. Then for Tupperware, the member fee is just S$35 and if you do use their products for sometime, you will have got back the member fee.

In fact, Tupperware is not like other mlm, must do sales etc etc. As long as in a yr, you purchase more than S$300, then for the next yr you will still be a member. In fact, for the first 2 yrs, they don't even look at how much you have purchase. That is one reason I joined, to enjoy the discount. Then on and off, if can sell some stuff, I sell some stuff.

Of course, that is also provided you meet the right person who sign you up. I do meet pp from Tupperware who tell pp who sign up in their team that every mth must have $200 sales. This is just to help them earn only.

I think generally most mlm are o.k., must meet the correct person and tell you the correct thing. I am quite lucky to meet the correct person. šŸ˜„

If anyone interested to know more Tupperware beauticontrol product, I am willing to share my experience on their product for beauty and health.

Recently signed up for FIL facial sessions. My face was dull, simply dull! Unbearable so tried 1 session. The 1 hour trial cost $38, good deal. You can go ahead and try it. Seems not bad.

Stopped facial for many many years and last year started with a neighborhood facial.

Regretted badly. Then I was introduced to Bella SkinCare @ JP. Paid ~$100 for the trial (intensive hydration type). I felt my face turned more radiant and a lot smoother (the neighborhood scarred and caused a number of infected pimples plus lotsa small hard bumps etc). Convinced, I signed up a 'half-package' ie. package price but half the number of sessions ~$140 each session.

1+ month later, I also started using SKII too (basic - Treatment Essense & Signature Cream). Have been going Bella facial and using SKII for the last 5 months, would say I'm happy with the results. With the improvement, I will be downgrading my Bella facial to a normal maintenace once existing intensive is completed (think ~ $70 per session for maintenance). Frankly, as I started both around same time, dunno who's the saviour....but just sharing my case šŸ™‚

I am one of those that will sign up for facial packages, go for a few sessions and regret signing up the packages as work and family commitment catch up. I also simply loathe the \"chit-chat\" session that the consultants will engage me in. So, eventually, I will stop going to the facial sessions and waste all the money I have paid upfront.

Eventually, I just decided to take care of my own needs. I tried many over the counter beauty products. Most will work for a period of time (maybe psychological  )
then I will get tired of them and wander to others. There was a period of time when I was super stressed up at work and I started having acne at the age of 35!! :stupid:
It was terrible as I used to have flawless complexion.

I tried several kinds of products and paid more attention to why people get acne. From my little research, stress is one contributing factor, bacteria on the skin too.

My friend from US introduced essential oils to me. I was skeptical as I perceive essential oils as nice fragrance oils to freshen up rooms. Anyway, I tried Melaleuca (Tea tree) oil and my skin conditions start to improve. My friend has introduced the brand of oils from doTERRA The oils are certified pure therapeutic grade. The oils are so pure, nothing synthetic, they can be for aromatic use, topical use (apply on skins) or consumption.

Drink? Actually, it is not hard to believe that we can drink the essential oils. They are after all plant extracts. For example, lemon, grapefruit oil is cold pressed from the rind. Tea tree oil is steam distilled from the leaves. doTERRA has made sure that the oils are certified pure with 3rd party labs. In fact, some of the Chinese tonics are in fact made up of essential oils.

Anyway, if you are considering to try another skin care products, I would like to suggest the essential oils skin care kit from doTERRA. Essential oils are blended into the products. It consists of cleanser, scrub, toner, tightening serum, anti-aging moisturizer. New this month, there is a free bottle of IMMORTELLE anti-aging oil blend to be given away with the purchase of the skin care kit. The IMMORTELLE anti-aging oil blend contains potent oils - Frankincense, Sandalwood, Lavender, Mryyh, Helichrysum , Rose.
It can be a great Mother's day gift!

Here's a longer description of the products :-
              http://www.thedoterrasingapore.com/main/Products/Entries/2010/11/7_Essential_Skin_Care_%E7%B2%BE%E6%B2%B9%E8%82%8C%E8%82%A4%E4%BF%9D%E5%85%BB.html

Cost wise, the skin care kit will incur similar cost to the amount spent on a bottle of the SKII essence ...

BTW, essential oils can also be used to cure various ailments like fever, sore throat, itch, headache, insomnia etc etc etc.
I have documented the information I have gathered at http://thedoterrasingapore.com if you like to read more.

doTERRA is a network marketing business (aka MLM). But, because there is no overhead for rentals, staff salaries, warehouses, insurance etc etc, more can be spent on the products itself. IMHO, MLM products tend to be of better quality to products of the same category. It can be a pleasant business if it is a business that helps people improve their health (with essential oils) and quality of life (with the extra income).

                Hi,

I've been considering going to Bella after some of my friend's recommendation and saw a branch at Nex which is near where I lived. I have alot freckles on my face and my eye bag also quite heavy! I heard facial does help to improve the condition but I'm scared of pain! Does it hurts doing the facial at Bella? How is the facial treatment like? My friend told me about Bella's facebook welcome pack, can receive full premium facial at a discount price and some vouchers just by liking them on facebook! I have liked them on facebook, but havent tried out their facial yet. Feel like getting more feedback before going for their facial treatment. Do share with me thanks! šŸ™‚

                  Hi,
sorry for the late reply.....haven't come to this thread for a while, so didn't realize  Frankly, I'm not sure about the facebook thing, so can't really comment. As for the facial, think they have lotsa different types, so eventually gotta take the consultant's words/recommendation. B4 signing up, I did some internet surfing and seems like there's good & bad reviews, but mostly due to the consultants eg. hard selling etc....but then again, it all depends on luck. Mine at JP is quite OK.

On the facial, I did a trial before deciding to sign up. As mentioned, I was scarred, dull-looking and the face was full of small hard zits which made my face felt prickly. After the trial, I felt GOOD, seriously good šŸ˜„ Mine was the intensive hydration type......I actually monitored my face for a week before I decided it worked for me. But since yours is freckles and eyebag which is of different condition from mine....guess, the only way is for you to do a trial to decide. As for the pain level, I have tried 2 different ladies.....basically as a customer, you can decide the pain threshold. So if too painful for you, tell them, rightfully they will lessen the force. Otherwise, ask for another person the next time.

I'm wondering if black head extraction can be painless? My threshold is very low ...
