Hello All,
Guess I am really \"a very late & slow learner\" mummy
- I went through DD1's school past year exam papers and gosh - I am unable to understand the Maths problem sums, needless to say how to answer it.
Have seek help from many helpful parents over at the P3/P4 Maths forum and I am so impressed and marvel at how their model presentation & detailed explanation. :celebrate:
Know it is last minute but better to prepare now or else I will still be blur blur still SA2 :? :? - Can any parents recommend any P3 Maths Assessment or guide books which they have more detailed into the explanation & concept of how to solve problem sums? Also learning terms like:-
1) Multiple Method (MM)
2) Systematic Listing Method
3) Gap and Difference concept / Express and shortage
4) Make a Supposition / Pretend Pretend lah method
:thankyou: very much in advance :hugs: -

My girl is in P2 I am using maths work sheets Andrew ER and visible thinking most of the time. On saturdays problem solving by Fabian ng. only these three are in active mode. I have many but those are just there I/ my dd ... we don have time to do them. we manage to finish fan math model drawing book  .
Thanks. -
Hi Champion,
You are not a late and slow learner mummy. Those questions that you posted in the P3/P4 thread, they were not taught in my child’s school yet. So this SA1, I am still in ‘honeymoon’ period, hoping that "what they did not teach, they will not test the children." I learned some tips here and there from KSP.com P3/P4 thread itself.
Maybe can ask Janet if Onsponge book have this section? -

Thank you so much for your encouragement; appreciates much. I was very shocked and nervous :faint: when DD1 brought back the past years papers and those questions were under Section C - 4 marks each * 5 = 20 marks. And she only got one correct!
I told her it okay just need more practices and probably now the last minute brush-up.
Have e-mailed to Maths T for more revisions on problem sums but guess she is also too busy during this period & with SA1 next week, nothing she can do also
Thank you to you and all other parents who had helped with solving those problem sums; really appreciates to this forum and all your time & effort. :salute: :salute: -
