You can find the P1 registeration statistic in the school website

Base on the balloting history, 2009 & 2010 needs balloting in Phase 2B for >2km.

        My turn next!

I am trying to absorb all these but just got a headache instead.

My Husband just went for the catholic high PV meeting, we are staying 1.05km away from the school so under 1-2km, principle says most probably no chance to ballot based on past year records.

We stay in Ang mo kio st 31.

My husband parents stay in Bishan ,>1 km from Kuo chuan Pres, he is old boy as well.

My mom stays in Hougang, >1 km from Holy Innocent.

        My question is:
        1. Should I PV for Holy innocent and use my mom’s address as caretaker? WHich phase will I fall in?

Yes, you won't even get the chance to participate in the balloting, based on past years' statistics.

You should secure a place for your son in Kuo Chuan during P2A first.

If you are a PV, you fall under P2B. When it comes to balloting, your boy will fall under the 1-2 km category if you go by the caregiver route.

            Thank you so much!

So under my mom’s address 1-2kn, will I get the chance to even ballot?
I just check with the school and Holy innocent is no longer accepting PV for 2013 Primary one intake! I thought I was early but not!!!

SHe says it is one year before registration.
            2013 = 2012 registration
now is 2011 May - not accepting!!!

For Holy Innocents', if you are in the 1-2 km category, it is unlikely that you will get a chance to ballot. If you look at past years' statistics, there was only one year when balloting was conducted for those in the 1-2 km category. Other than that, balloting was for those staying within 1 km from the school.

Your best bet will be Kuo Chuan. It's a good school, too. Why not you consider this school?

Typically, you must start your PV work one year before registration. Hence, if you are registering in 2012, you should contact the school late last year or early this year for PV application. You must understand that time is needed to shortlist PVs. Hence, if a school were to accept PVs only now, would the school have sufficient time to go through all the applications, without eating into the one-year period parents are given to perform PV work? Some schools accept PV registration two years before registration. Different schools have different systems.

Not sure if this source of information is the most accurate. You can see the resources posted by MOE.

This is for Holy Innocents Primary:

Your son will fall under P2A2.

So far, we have not seen any balloting for P2A. Hence, there is a 99% chance that he will get in successfuly in P2A. It doesn't matter which address is shown in whose NRIC if no balloting is required. The address is used to ascertain which distance category he falls under in the event of balloting.

Hi fellow mommies, I am within 1km to HIPs and wld like to ask abt the ‘Active Community Leader’ criteria - can anyone refer me to it? Since Aljunied is under WP now, does it mean I have to volunteer with WP’s RC? For Parent Volunteers, does anyone know how many they take in each yr? What is the criteria for selection and roles offered typically? Many thanks!
