Starting from this year, I’ve been going to the ‘stationery’ section in Popular to get flags, highlighters as well as page separators.

Regarding routine (aka time-table), I’ve set this since son was in P1. Now he is used to following it. It’s appropriate to have one so that there is a proper system what to do everyday. Setting one is not easy…have to follow child’s timing after school, bath, rest & lunch etc…but once it’s up, child just have to follow it.

Heyya Champion, yes.. the fonts in Ultimate Science is painfully small for this specky. :faint:

        Hi Buds,
Agree...so as I mentioned, my only \"console\" is that I use highlighters to keep me awake! 😉

:rotflmao: Funny lar you, Champion! :rotflmao:

The green fonts and pages are already painful for my eyes
and the bright highlighter from the pens sure won't help in
my case, hence it totally put me off from purchasing it plus
it is verrrryy wordy! :faint: Wordy = More to read. :faint:

In our case, it has always been the girls who agreed upon and put up their own work schedule
hence they keep to what has been arranged more willingly. For my P4 not much time to schedule
cos come back from school already what time. Sure say the pillow calling me..

Btw, back to topic... i like one assessment book also available in Popular. Will share with you soon.

Here is a Teach Less Learn More idea I did with my son lately. I asked him to research on how air con refrigerant gas and air con compressors work to cool the air in the room. He googled and learnt…

              (1) the 3 states of matter
              (2) that pressure raises boiling point of liquids
              (3) that evaporation takes away heat from the surroundings

Another TLLM science idea could be…
Why is it that at high altitudes, boiling does not kill all the bacteria in the food? This teaches roughly the same thing. Taught this way, there is little need to revise. Learning is better retained.

              Just my 2 cents…

                  Hi Parents,

Do you have problems with the chapter on Cells ?
Nothing seems to register in my head and when son asks me, I’m at a loss.

Janet... I'm a bit worried for you... though of course, I am not a good one to talk 'cos I was a nervous wreck 8 weeks ago. Would it be good for you to take a bit of pressure off yourself and get your kid to google on cells, and teach YOU.

Cells included in SA1, together with Air & respiratory system...that's for Systems.
Everything for Cycles, which is quite ok as compared to cells (very dry and boring).
