may i know who r the people who are doing the balloting? PVs or school staff? do we call the school up to check when they r doing the ballot so that anxious parents can witness?
I know that the parents who are involved in the phase that is being balloted can be present but I don't know about the rest of the public.
Hi!
Usually people doing ballot are principals, committee and PVs. U will be informed when there is a need for yr child to go for ballet. -
If I fail at the ballot, does it automatically dump me into Phrase 2C or it would be I will have to apply afresh at the school of my choice, even if it is the same school? Help me understand this.

mummypumpkin:
Yes. Every phase is treated separately and independently. So if you're unsuccessful at Phase 2B, you will need to put in a fresh application for Phase 2C.mummypumpkin wrote:

If number of applicants exceeded the available vacanies by 1, will ballot be conducted? Or school will make an exception and admit the 1 child? Anyone with experience to share? :?

depends on individual school. there are previous case of this happening but if i am not wrong, only when all vacancies are filled. -
Can anyone here help?
Am currently under a lot stress and can't go to sleep now.
If I fail at the 2C (within 1km) balloting (still 1 week to go..), can I register in other school and ballot for 2C (1-2km)? If yes, How should I go about to register since the registration for 2C is over..... Help me understand this. Thank you very much :?: :?: :?: -
Melodies:
If balloting is necessary, it will be conducted after Phase 2C registration is closed. If you are not successful in the ballot, your next course will be phase 2C supplement, you won't be able to try for another school under the same phase 2C, as you mentioned registration is over. Can anyone here help?

No. The school will NOT make any exception to the number of vacancies it offers, during the P1 registration exercise. Even if the vacancies exceed by 1 place, it will still conduct balloting for all those in the affected distance bucket. This is an extremely strict and procedural process.
The only exception that can be made is if multiple children such as twins are included. For example, if during balloting in Phase 2C, the last name drawn are the twins, then both children will be admitted even if it blows the school's quota by 1. However, if the twins' names are drawn earlier, then it affects the current ballot (ie. 2 places will be taken from the available pool being contended for), and no increase in vacancies will happen.
