Yah most peranakans are rather particular about the ingredients. If my mum were to try the kuehs that I make, she will say not gd enough cos I use pre packed coconut milk, not fresh coconut milk.

She gave me a bunch of those flowers recently but I did not use them. Did not find that it makes the kueh anymore attractive and it does not enhance the taste.

Funz, so what are you supposed to do with the bunch of those flowers? Pound them to get the colour?

Can anyone share how to make nutella cupcakes?
Tried making some yesterday but the nutella was in a lump, rather than nicely spread out.
I had tried to \"soften\" the nutella by stirring them in a bowl over hot water, but after \"dropping\" them into the cupcakes, did the swirl, they are not nicely spread out.
How come?
Any better way to do it?

My boy has been urging me to get that cake for him. I find it a bit expensive though.
