Jennifer:

Nvrm, ur family will be out of S'pore by then.
Thankfully, we get to vote before we depart. At least we can contribute our bit of 'voice'. :dancing:

Even though we will be living overseas, we are still true blue Singaporeans mah. Love our country, got to do our part. I am not sure how strong is/will this sense of belonging instill in our children's heart and mind, especially when they do not have all their time in this homeland and even when the eldest does have more years here, she has to face stress (translate to less carefree childhood) at young tender age.

Jennifer:

This morning, there was a bad traffic jam along Jln Jurong Kechil leading to Jln Anak Bt.

I was stuck along the same stretch of road ytd during afternoon dismissal hours too.

Any idea what's causing the jam?

They divert the roads due to the MRT construction on the 24th Apr.
So they will have to optimise the traffic light at Jln Jurong Kechil and Upper Bukit Timah again.

I gave up taking this route (Jurong Kechil) during peak hours months ago. The jam is terrible even at 4 plus in the afternoon. Ever stuck 30 mins from Signature park to the end of the road. It is the mrt contruction plus the road is served by alot of bus services. One lane is entirely taken up by the buses, which hardly move. Btw, last Thur, I spotted Chee Soon Juan along the road. πŸ˜‰

Actually, we did ever think of moving to Aljunied when we moved back to SGP years ago. My alma mater is nearby, so we thot of living there for easy P1 registration. Thank goodness, I din, or else I will lose whole lot of good supportive like-minded parents in this PH forum.

But Amy Khor is one of the very \"on\" MP that goes around her ward often.

wah...how u know...even tho she is not in your ward? i must say she looks very approachable with her ever smiling face. so i was surprised to read that she is also the deputy gov whip.

I have \"ears\" in that ward .... :rotflmao:

No lah .. heard from friends staying there and friends from the press.
I believe she will get above 60% there. Good MP.
Down to earth, approachable, have the resident interest in her heart.
Apart from Dr Lily Neo, she will prob be the next MP that I will choose for my ward .. if I have a choice.
About Amy Khor..she spent time to be one of the story-tellers in a nearby cc. Not very frequent, but at least she does put in effort to be there, to connect. She eats in kopitiam zi-char. Too bad, I am just a street away from her SMC.

OT : Army Khor has 12 fingers, spotted by my observant #2. #2 says she (Amy Khor) is special because God made her so, Hence God must love her alot to make her different.  This girl!

Reading from Zaobao, I personally think her eyes is on her head .. like a Frogggie ... her head is getting too buff up. She is the only reason that I am still sitting on the fence. if not this GE will be a lot easier to vote.
Wow...some 'empty-headed', some 'empty-hearted'. If I were to vote for the BT GRC, I also know who I will vote. Not entirely due to the froggie, but mainly cos of the \"How-much-do-YOU-want?\" guy. It will be a different story if they offer to discard diaper for me lah.

Anyway, there are 2 things my eldest girl like abt this GE is short school hours tmr and mommy less time to nag at her SA1 preparation.

Mine came visiting one evening when I was alone with the 3 kids. The door bell went 'ding dong' (x3), followed by 'boom boom\" (x ??). I was alittle displeased, greeted the new PAP candidate and her supporters with a soiled diaper in one hand.

Oh Did they Offer to Dispose the Diaper for U?
Hee-Hee ....

Which of your hand they Shake, the one that Holds the diaper, or the other Half?

This is a more interesting handshake than the famous \"1991 wet market handshake\" :rotflmao:
Missed this post earlier. My hubby told me similiar stuff. He said I should offer to shake their hands even when they did not initiate. He dared them to refuse my 'warm' handshake.
