Currently i and my husband were under the basis medisheild plan provided by CPF. I am thinking yo upgrade our plan to as charged plan. I am very confused by all the different plans provided by the different agents. Please share with me how to compare the plans and any reliable insurance agent to enquiry with. Many tks

Heard that there is a plan called caring star. 1 month pay only $10.10, cover everything. Even when a child been bitten by sandfly or fall down, go to private doc, no need to pay single cents. Got so good one meh? :?

I do not know this one but I guess it is a personal accident insurance. Means you have to see doctor because of an accident. Medical plan can not be so cheap.

Yes. Including Private Hospitals

hi jessica, plan 1 is for all hospitals (gov and private)

plan 2 & 3 is for gov hospitals like kk, sgh, tan tock seng, yishun.

All personal accident plans come with medical reimbursement benefits up to a certain limit.
Take note that reimbursement of medical expenses are related to accidents only, not natural illness like flu,cold,cough.

I was told by an agent that there is a coverage for HFMD and dengue fever, which can also be used for natural illness and accident, like fall and cut. i am unsure of what she said though...

cold, flu & cough not covered by shield or personal accident plans. They are typically covered by employer group medical plans.
