agreed that GY is very unlikely to switch.
I also don't think he will switch. If he does, I will actually lose respect for him.
Yeah very doubtful he will cross over.Way2GO:

I know it is near impossible, but if GY did not get EP nomination, if somehow in 3 years time, LTK manage to convince GY to join him at WP, it will be very formidable indeed.
He oredi suffered d ignominy of losing d first GRC,
he is not going to be branded as a turncoat.
He has too much class n integrity to do dat to his PAP comrades, even if he doesn't agree with everything they do.
But we can always live in hope. -
I hope PAP to have more heart, the citizens are not heartless or want to take advantage but sometimes life can be so difficult that a helping hand makes all the difference.
I hope opp will not lose heart, the citizens are not gutless. We want good pple. A single party cannot attract all the good pple because not everyone likes to go to the same party. There are different taste.
I hope pple know that a good politician does not need to be a scholar.
Citizens are not lesser mortals, noise generators, complainers, quitters. We are human beings with brains and heart.
I want politicians who love the country and not money and other benefits.
To feel the love, you must give the love. -
Now that the GE 2011 is over and the dust has settled, I want to add my 2 cents’ worth as well:
Like many Singaporeans, I’m saddened that we lost a good minister like George Yeo just becos a significant number of singaporeans voted for the WP just to spite the PAP. I’m waiting to see with bated breath if the WP can do an equally good or better job than the PAP.
I’m quite shocked to read that CST actually said that “there is some funny business going on” after his wife lost Potong Pasir by a slight margin. Bad loser? Worse, some residents in PP even petitioned for a recount and by-election. Quite ridiculous! At least the Aljunied PAP team was gracious enough to accept their defeat and GY even called on all singaporeans - PAP and opposition supporters - to unite for our nation. That’s what a good and gentlemanly loser shld respond.
Lets hope the WP and PAP elected members can work harmoniously together for the sake of Singapore! -

Err......that is weird......
The number is at the back of the slip. To clarify this, I specifically search for the serial number that some people has been talking about when I got the slip. There it is....just behind the slip.WeiHan:

:? i didnt see any number on the voting slip lei. I only saw they write the polling card numbers on the voting slip counterfoils. If reli got number then how to be secret...
i look very carefully on my piece of polling slip, front and back,
there wasn't any serial numbers, the back was totally blank.
i asked my hub to do the same too, before going there.
he also told me that there wasn't ANY numbers on it, both front and back.
I didn't check behind the slip. But I saw it on the front \"top\"... -

Mr Chiam must have touched their lives quite deeply for them to have such a hard time letting go. It is hard for us to imagine what's it like to be a resident living in PP. Mrs Chiam did say to listen to their current MP.Now that the GE 2011 is over and the dust has settled, I want to add my 2 cents' worth as well:
