Whatever it is can gimme a break on TPL or not?
I sing praises on TPL. :boogie:Daddy

btw, all the online criticism on TPL... can be considered online bullying anot?
:?
Terribly sian reading about her already. I did say in my much earlier post she should be given a chance although now I much pity NS and like her much more. :stupid: -

likewise Serangoon got the lowest votes in Aljunied GRC - as reported yesterday ST.....one reason not reported, I speculate only, must be due to the workers' hostel sited next to the landed houses there that caused such big hoohah sometime back....voters do remember, contrary to what some may think
Was surprised too that Serangoon got the lowest! I always thought LHH handled the workers' dorm. issue quite well and she is well-liked. Now I dunnoo, am suspecting perhaps the papers had reported it all in a much more positive light than actual... Well, I suppose the voters thought this is but one example of the incumbant party not listening to them as well. -

Gee, that bad huh? Yap, that was my friend's response.... :scared:MummyThreeStreams:
I can understand when one of forummers said that one of her friends responded with \" We lost GY\" after receiving a Happy Mothers' Day text message... frankly I felt like that too.
We can both cry together then!

Only now then I get to know GY better through the papers and interviews, very difficult to have much feeling about this. It has been a \"bloody\" election.
How about Mr Ong who waited until his father passed on before joining the PAP and yet not even have the chance of a foot into Parliament? The newspapers reported that he went to pay his father respect after the election. I wonder what went through his mind?
Hmm..I guess it's coz I know GY, so it hurts more. But i can understand how other people may think it's an overreaction! Even my DH has told me to STOP my whining about it!
I know Ong Ye Kung too. I feel for him too, but i'm not so upset. he's still young, so he's not out of the picture. It's a pity he lost, but I respect him even more for this baptism of fire that he has gone through. I think it's not quite right for our MPs, especially our office holders, not to go through elections.
By the way, just to clarify, I'm NOT from the PAP...I know GY and YK from somewhere else... -
Just two days after the opposition Workers’ Party claimed victory in Aljunied GRC at the general election, reports are surfacing all over the internet that the town council seems to have suspended its services.
It has also been rumoured that certain town council contracts have been terminated, and that Residents’ Committee (RC) signboards have been taken down in certain areas of the GRC.
The Aljunied GRC website has also been taken offline.
Why can’t they hand over smoothly instead of messing things up for WP to clear ??
obviously can't terminate the services juz liddat.
Is WP gonna to face the same problem with HG town council 20 yrs ago??
Hopefully not, like LTk had said, “ 20 yrs later, the pple are more civilized” .....

sound to me a sore loser.
also wanna to prove that Aljunied residents would \"repent and regret\"?? -
verykiasu2010:
After 23 years with the incumbent? No lah...should have more loyalty and class than that. Agree it is the right decision to leave politics. I foresee in no time he would get quite a few offers from the private sector or statutory boards for jobs that he can choose. No looking back! :salute:
he can always join WP or NSP ....  :evil:Strparent:
He couldn't make headways when he was in the circle for 23 years.....So the best option, is to retire from politics. best wishes to GY... -
Strparent:
sighh, when will they ever learn ?Happy Mama:

it is precisely this sort of treatment which helped Potong Pasir and Hougang become strongholds of the opposition.
petty, petty petty. Sore losers are never liked and actions like these will only anger the residents, both those who voted and did not voted for them. I wonder who does their PR for them..
If they had handover professionally and even offer to assist, and let the winner use their premises, it should actually remind the residents of a good party which they just lost. small things like these are remembered for a long time.
I guess the 5day humbleness is over......
I guess Operation Repentance was activated 0000 hrs 9th May 2011. :gloomy: :gloomy: -

I think these two will be the next target. WP spreading over the North/East. Don't envy those GRCs around that area at all! Tough fight and I don't think they like it. Next round I foresee these old ministers would be changed too...although 5 years later is a long time more. By then my boy would be 9 years old! :love:i think GY is the best candidate to go against WP A team
if it is MBT or WKS think they will lost even more
